The Transaction Cost Economics (TCE) and Foucauldian perspectives are brought to bear on five outsourcing relationships in order to test the application of these discourses to rich qualitative data over the outsourcing contractual life-cycle. This will be the first study illustrating the relevance of Foucauldian concepts of governmentality, discourse and power relations to the study of outsourcing arrangements, and will also incorporate the perspectives of both client and supplier organizations. Using discourse analysis, the objective is to critically deconstruct and provide fresh insight into the normative 'outsourcing' discourse that has grown up around global sourcing practices over the last 30 years. 410 0$aTechnology, Work and Globalization,$x2730-6631 606 $aCorporate governance 606 $aBusiness information services 606 $aLinguistics$xMethodology 606 $aCorporate Governance 606 $aIT in Business 606 $aResearch Methods in Language and Linguistics 615 0$aCorporate governance. 615 0$aBusiness information services. 615 0$aLinguistics$xMethodology. 615 14$aCorporate Governance. 615 24$aIT in Business. 615 24$aResearch Methods in Language and Linguistics. 676 $a658.4 700 $aLioliou$b Eleni$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$0985808 702 $aWillcocks$b Leslie P$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910337814103321 996 $aGlobal Outsourcing Discourse$92253261 997 $aUNINA
