While previous studies have focused on forms of employee representation that have emerged throughout recent decades, rather little is known about the interaction and coordination of representational bodies and actors, such as trade unions and European or World Works Councils. Given the growing importance of transnational restructuring in MNCs, understanding the conditions under which employees are able to participate in company decision-making is a crucial issue. Based on empirical case studies and interviews with employee representatives from ten countries across Europe, the authors investigate the role of representational bodies in periods of company restructuring. Proposing a shift in perspectives in research on transnational labour relations and bringing new insights into structures and practices of employee representation in MNCs, this book will be a valuable read for both scholars and practitioners. 606 $aStrategic planning 606 $aLeadership 606 $aDiversity in the workplace 606 $aEmployee health promotion 606 $aPersonnel management 606 $aIndustrial organization 606 $aBusiness Strategy and Leadership 606 $aCross-Cultural Management 606 $aEmployee Health and Wellbeing 606 $aHuman Resource Development 606 $aOrganization 615 0$aStrategic planning. 615 0$aLeadership. 615 0$aDiversity in the workplace. 615 0$aEmployee health promotion. 615 0$aPersonnel management. 615 0$aIndustrial organization. 615 14$aBusiness Strategy and Leadership. 615 24$aCross-Cultural Management. 615 24$aEmployee Health and Wellbeing. 615 24$aHuman Resource Development. 615 24$aOrganization. 676 $a331.88094 700 $aHaipeter$b Thomas$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$0914226 702 $aHertwig$b Markus$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut 702 $aRosenbohm$b Sophie$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910337796303321 996 $aEmployee Representation in Multinational Companies$92048323 997 $aUNINA
