These patterns are shaped by the interplay of legal norms, economic drivers and societal factors. The various dimensions of this Migration-Mobility Nexus are investigated by means of newly collected survey data: the Migration-Mobility Survey. The book covers different aspects of life in the host country, including the family dimension, the labour market and political participation as well as social integration. The book also takes into account the chronological dimension of migration by considering the migrants? arrival, their stay, and their expectations regarding return. Through applying conclusions drawn from the Swiss context to the migration literature on other European and high-income countries, this book contributes to new knowledge on current migration processes in high-income countries. As such it will be a valuable reference work to scholars and students in migration, social scientists and policy makers. 410 0$aIMISCOE Research Series,$x2364-4095 606 $aEmigration and immigration 606 $aPopulation$xEconomic aspects 606 $aSociology 606 $aHuman Migration 606 $aPopulation Economics 606 $aSociology 615 0$aEmigration and immigration. 615 0$aPopulation$xEconomic aspects. 615 0$aSociology. 615 14$aHuman Migration. 615 24$aPopulation Economics. 615 24$aSociology. 676 $a304.8 676 $a325.494 686 $aPOL029000$aSOC007000$aSOC026000$2bisacsh 700 $aSteiner$b Ilka$4edt$01853845 702 $aSteiner$b Ilka$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aWanner$b Philippe$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910337712203321 996 $aMigrants and Expats: The Swiss Migration and Mobility Nexus$94450591 997 $aUNINA
