The terms usually proposed to describe aspects of mediation, especially perspective, point of view, and focalization, have yet to bring clarity to this field, which is of central importance, not only for narratology but also for literary and media studies. One crucial problem about mediation concerns the dimensions of its modeling effect, particularly the precise status and constellation of the mediating agents, i.e. author, narrator or presenter and characters. The question is how are the structure and the meaning of the story conditioned by these different positions in relation to the mediated happenings perceived from outside and/or inside the storyworld? In this volume, fourteen articles by international scholars from seven different countries address these problems anew from various angles, reviewing the sub-categorization of mediation and re-specifying its dimensions both in literary texts and other media such as drama and theater, film, and computer games. 410 0$aNarratologia ;$v17. 606 $aPoint of view (Literature) 606 $aMediation 606 $aNarration (Rhetoric) 610 $aFocalization. 610 $aMediation. 610 $aNarratology. 610 $aPerspective. 610 $aPoint of View. 615 0$aPoint of view (Literature) 615 0$aMediation. 615 0$aNarration (Rhetoric) 676 $a808 686 $aEC 4500$2rvk 701 $aHu?hn$b Peter$f1939-$0435274 701 $aSchmid$b Wolf$093691 701 $aScho?nert$b Jo?rg$0402508 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910778303503321 996 $aPoint of view, perspective, and focalization$92688938 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03331nam 22006015 450 001 9910725081203321 005 20251008161932.0 010 $a9789811997525$b(electronic bk.) 010 $z9789811997518 024 7 $a10.1007/978-981-19-9752-5 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC30545000 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL30545000 035 $a(OCoLC)1379433472 035 $a(DE-He213)978-981-19-9752-5 035 $a(BIP)086687933 035 $a(CKB)26707043300041 035 $a(EXLCZ)9926707043300041 100 $a20230516d2023 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 14$aThe End of Rationality and Selfishness $eA Story on the Asymmetry, Uncertainty and the Evolution of Cooperation /$fby Rui-Wu Wang 205 $a1st ed. 2023. 210 1$aSingapore :$cSpringer Nature Singapore :$cImprint: Springer,$d2023. 215 $a1 online resource (233 pages) 311 08$aPrint version: Wang, Rui-Wu The End of Rationality and Selfishness Singapore : Springer,c2023 9789811997518 327 $aThe Paradox of Rationality and Selfishness -- Two Asymmetric and Uncertain Selection---Start Thinking by a Hammer -- Inheritance of Acquired Character and Outbreak of Mass Incidents ---Increasing Pressure Accelerates the Evolution of Altruistic Behavior -- Social Cooperation: Drive Toward Choice of Sex -- Cooperation & Slavery---Free Competition to Social Division of Labor -- The Significance of Our Survival. 330 $aThis book reviews the antinomy of rationality and selfishness raised from egoism, though rationality and selfishness are understood as basic evolutionary dynamics of humans and other organisms in both classical economics and evolutionary biology. Based on the research and a comparison with human?s social cooperative behavior, the author presents his belief that the social cooperative system, in its essence, cooperation and conflict are of uncertain stochasticity resulting from their intrinsic asymmetric interaction between cooperative partners. The book then discusses limitations of Newton?s methodology of monism in both biology and social science. The understanding of the asymmetric and uncertain characteristics found in cooperation system needs perspective of quantum physics of pluralism. At the end of the book, the author undertakes a review of consistency of Newtonian and monism philosophy and the links between quantum physics and pluralism philosophy. 606 $aEconomics$xPsychological aspects 606 $aInternational relations 606 $aSocial evolution 606 $aBehavioral Economics 606 $aEconomic Psychology 606 $aInternational Relations 606 $aSocial Evolution 615 0$aEconomics$xPsychological aspects. 615 0$aInternational relations. 615 0$aSocial evolution. 615 14$aBehavioral Economics. 615 24$aEconomic Psychology. 615 24$aInternational Relations. 615 24$aSocial Evolution. 676 $a302.14 700 $aWang$b Rui-Wu$01358269 701 $aWang$b Juan$0607037 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 912 $a9910725081203321 996 $aThe End of Rationality and Selfishness$93367455 997 $aUNINA
