By contrast, Stacy Holden's A Documentary History of Modern Iraq gives voice to ordinary Iraqis, clarifying the experience of the Shiites, Sunnis, Kurds, Jews, and women over the past century. Through varied documents ranging from short stories to treaties, political speeches to memoirs, and newspaper articles to book excerpts, the work synthesizes previously marginalized perspectives of minorities and women with the 607 $aIraq$xHistory 608 $aElectronic books. 676 $a956.704 701 $aHolden$b Stacy E$0895795 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910462025303321 996 $aA documentary history of modern Iraq$92001168 997 $aUNINA LEADER 02177nam 22004693a 450 001 9910315228603321 005 20250408143208.0 010 $a9783946054436 010 $a3946054439 024 7 $a10.17885/heiup.286.381 035 $a(CKB)4100000007824015 035 $a(OAPEN)1004724 035 $a(oapen)https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/35552 035 $a(ScCtBLL)b4de4bac-a443-4138-95f7-0f779066af7b 035 $a(OCoLC)1163820305 035 $a(NjHacI)994100000007824015 035 $a(EXLCZ)994100000007824015 100 $a20250203i20192020 uu 101 0 $ager 135 $auuuuu---auuuu 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 00$aCoptica Palatina$hVolume 1.0 210 1$aHeidelberg :$cHeidelberg University Publishing (heiUP),$d2019. 215 $a1 online resource (170) 225 1 $aStudien und Texte aus der Heidelberger Papyrussamlung 311 08$a9783946054429 311 08$a3946054420 330 $aThe texts compiled in Coptica Palatina were worked on by young scholars taking part in an International Summer School for Coptic Papyrology under the supervision of the editors. The volume offers editions of Coptic literary and magical texts, of private letters, as well as of legal and administrative documents, all complete with a commentary and a modern translation. These texts originate from different regions of Middle and Upper Egypt (Fayyum, Hermupolis, Bawit, Aphrodito, Esna, Apollonopolis magna) and are datable to the 6th/7th up to the 11th/12th centuries CE. The bulk of the material, however, comes from the 7th/8th century, the crucial period of Egypt's transition from a province of the Byzantine empire to a province of the early Islamic caliphate. 606 $aCoptic manuscripts (Papyri) 606 $aCoptic manuscripts (Papyri)$vExhibitions 615 0$aCoptic manuscripts (Papyri) 615 0$aCoptic manuscripts (Papyri) 676 $a299.932 702 $aBoud'hors$b Anne 801 0$bScCtBLL 801 1$bScCtBLL 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910315228603321 996 $aCoptica Palatina$94319211 997 $aUNINA
