Antisemitic stereotypes function as religious symbols that express and transmit a belief system of Jew-hatred, which are stored in the cultural and religious memories of the Western and Muslim worlds, migrating freely between Christian, Muslim and other religious symbolic systems. 606 $aRegional & national history$2bicssc 606 $aJudaism$2bicssc 606 $aJewish studies$2bicssc 610 $aAnti-Semitism. 610 $aanti-Judaism, anti-Jewish stereotypes. 610 $astrategies against anti-Semitism. 615 7$aRegional & national history 615 7$aJudaism 615 7$aJewish studies 700 $aLange$b Armin$4edt$01354390 702 $aLange$b Armin$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aMayerhofer$b Kerstin$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aPorat$b Dina$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aSchiffman$b Lawrence H.$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 801 0$bDE-B1597 801 1$bDE-B1597 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910372749503321 996 $aAn End to Antisemitism$93571213 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03128nam 22004933a 450 001 9910306633603321 005 20250607002100.0 010 $a9781890951979 010 $a1890951978 035 $a(CKB)4100000007522831 035 $a(OAPEN)1004004 035 $a(oapen)https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/39047 035 $a(PPN)154147044 035 $a(ScCtBLL)9446cde9-232b-4992-92e3-3bde4a0a2cee 035 $a(oapen)doab39047 035 $a(EXLCZ)994100000007522831 100 $a20250123i20102019 uu 101 0 $aeng 135 $auuuuu---auuuu 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 00$aAccess to Knowledge in the Age of Intellectual Property$fAmy Kapczynski, Gae?lle Krikorian 210 $aCambridge$cZone Books$d2010 210 1$a[s.l.] :$cThe MIT Press,$d2010. 215 $a1 online resource (648) 311 08$a9781890951962 311 08$a189095196X 330 $aA movement emerges to challenge the tightening of intellectual property law around the world. At the end of the twentieth century, intellectual property rights collided with everyday life. Expansive copyright laws and digital rights management technologies sought to shut down new forms of copying and remixing made possible by the Internet. International laws expanding patent rights threatened the lives of millions of people around the world living with HIV/AIDS by limiting their access to cheap generic medicines. For decades, governments have tightened the grip of intellectual property law at the bidding of information industries; but recently, groups have emerged around the world to challenge this wave of enclosure with a new counter-politics of "access to knowledge" or "A2K." They include software programmers who took to the streets to defeat software patents in Europe, AIDS activists who forced multinational pharmaceutical companies to permit copies of their medicines to be sold in poor countries, subsistence farmers defending their rights to food security or access to agricultural biotechnology, and college students who created a new "free culture" movement to defend the digital commons. Access to Knowledge in the Age of Intellectual Property maps this emerging field of activism as a series of historical moments, strategies, and concepts. It gathers some of the most important thinkers and advocates in the field to make the stakes and strategies at play in this new domain visible and the terms of intellectual property law intelligible in their political implications around the world. 606 $aDesigns law$2bicssc 606 $aImpact of science & technology on society$2bicssc 610 $aintellectual property 610 $acopyright 615 7$aDesigns law 615 7$aImpact of science & technology on society 676 $a346.04/8 702 $aKapczynski$b Amy 702 $aKrikorian$b Gae?lle$f1972- 801 0$bScCtBLL 801 1$bScCtBLL 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910306633603321 996 $aAccess to Knowledge in the Age of Intellectual Property$92874589 997 $aUNINA
