Efficiency comparisons to earlier versions and on the increased speed achieved by the parallelization, are detailed. Examples are provided for students as well as researchers and practitioners in optimization, operations research, and mathematics to compose their own scripts with ease. A GLOBAL manual is presented in the appendix to assist new users with modules and test functions. GLOBAL is a successful stochastic multistart global optimization algorithm that has passed several computational tests, and is efficient and reliable for small to medium dimensional global optimization problems. The algorithm uses clustering to ensure efficiency and is modular in regard to the two local search methods it starts with, but it can also easily apply other local techniques. The strength of this algorithm lies in its reliability and adaptive algorithm parameters. The GLOBAL algorithm is free to download also in the earlier Fortran, C, and MATLAB implementations. 410 0$aSpringerBriefs in Optimization,$x2190-8354 606 $aCalculus of variations 606 $aComputer science?Mathematics 606 $aOperations research 606 $aManagement science 606 $aMathematical analysis 606 $aAnalysis (Mathematics) 606 $aCalculus of Variations and Optimal Control; Optimization$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/M26016 606 $aMathematics of Computing$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I17001 606 $aOperations Research, Management Science$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/M26024 606 $aAnalysis$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/M12007 615 0$aCalculus of variations. 615 0$aComputer science?Mathematics. 615 0$aOperations research. 615 0$aManagement science. 615 0$aMathematical analysis. 615 0$aAnalysis (Mathematics). 615 14$aCalculus of Variations and Optimal Control; Optimization. 615 24$aMathematics of Computing. 615 24$aOperations Research, Management Science. 615 24$aAnalysis. 676 $a515.64 676 $a519.6 700 $aBánhelyi$b Balázs$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$0887781 702 $aCsendes$b Tibor$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut 702 $aLévai$b Balázs$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut 702 $aPál$b László$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut 702 $aZombori$b Dániel$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910303451703321 996 $aThe GLOBAL Optimization Algorithm$91983085 997 $aUNINA
