Since its introduction in the seventies PNL has undergone considerable evolution, mainly driven by the improvement in access techniques, endoscopic instrument technology, lithotripsy devices and drainage management. The conventional prone position for PNL has been challenged in the last two decades by a variety of modifications, including the supine and Galdakao-modified supine Valdivia positions, which make simultaneous retrograde working access to the collecting system possible and have proven anesthesiological advantages. The Galdakao-modified supine Valdivia position allowed the development of ECIRS (Endoscopic Combined IntraRenal Surgery), a technique exploiting a combined antegrade and retrograde approach to the upper urinary tract, using both rigid and flexible endoscopes with the related accessories. The synergistic teamwork of ECIRS provides a safe and efficient, minimally-invasive procedure for the treatment  of all kinds of urolithiasis. The aim of this book is to share with the urologic community worldwide our experience, our standardization of all the steps, and tips and tricks for the procedure. 606 $aUrology 606 $aNephrology 606 $aRadiology 606 $aAnesthesiology 606 $aNursing 606 $aUrology$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/H62002 606 $aNephrology$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/H33126 606 $aImaging / Radiology$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/H29005 606 $aAnesthesiology$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/H13001 606 $aNursing$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/H41005 615 0$aUrology. 615 0$aNephrology. 615 0$aRadiology. 615 0$aAnesthesiology. 615 0$aNursing. 615 14$aUrology. 615 24$aNephrology. 615 24$aImaging / Radiology. 615 24$aAnesthesiology. 615 24$aNursing. 676 $a617.461 676 $a617.461 702 $aScoffone$b Cesare Marco$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aHoznek$b András$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aCracco$b Cecilia Maria$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910300094503321 996 $aSupine Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy and ECIRS$91522045 997 $aUNINA
