These four concepts underscore the fundamental issues and problems that articulate any theoretical reflection on the fantastic: its necessary relationship to an idea of the real, its limits, its emotional and psychological effects on the receiver and the transgression of language that is undertaken when attempting to express what is, by definition, inexpressible as it is beyond the realms of the conceivable. By examining such concepts, the book explores multiple perspectives that are clearly interrelated: from literary and comparative theory to linguistics, via philosophy, science and cyberculture. 606 $aCulture?Study and teaching 606 $aCulture 606 $aPostmodernism (Literature) 606 $aEthnology?Europe 606 $aPopular Culture 606 $aCultural Theory$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/411130 606 $aGlobal/International Culture$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/411160 606 $aPostmodern Literature$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/837000 606 $aEuropean Culture$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/411070 606 $aPopular Culture $3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/411170 608 $aCriticism, interpretation, etc.$2fast 615 0$aCulture?Study and teaching. 615 0$aCulture. 615 0$aPostmodernism (Literature). 615 0$aEthnology?Europe. 615 0$aPopular Culture. 615 14$aCultural Theory. 615 24$aGlobal/International Culture. 615 24$aPostmodern Literature. 615 24$aEuropean Culture. 615 24$aPopular Culture . 676 $a809.915 700 $aRoas$b David$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$0988770 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910300005203321 996 $aBehind the Frontiers of the Real$92260853 997 $aUNINA
