For example, today we know a great deal about L2-semibounded differential and pseudodifferential operators, although their complete characterization in analytic terms still poses difficulties, even for fairly simple operators. In contrast, until recently almost nothing was known about analytic characterizations of semi-boundedness for differential operators in other Hilbert function spaces and in Banach function spaces. This book works to address that gap. As such, various types of semi-boundedness are considered and a number of relevant conditions which are either necessary and sufficient or best possible in a certain sense are presented. The majority of the results reported on are the authors? own contributions. 410 0$aOperator Theory: Advances and Applications,$x0255-0156 ;$v243 606 $aOperator theory 606 $aDifferential equations, Partial 606 $aOperator Theory$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/M12139 606 $aPartial Differential Equations$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/M12155 615 0$aOperator theory. 615 0$aDifferential equations, Partial. 615 14$aOperator Theory. 615 24$aPartial Differential Equations. 676 $a515.7242 700 $aCialdea$b Alberto$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$0475306 702 $aMaz'ya$b Vladimir$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910299994903321 996 $aSemi-bounded Differential Operators, Contractive Semigroups and Beyond$92510890 997 $aUNINA
