It determines experimentally the effects of lubricating oil conditions (new and engine-aged) on the friction and wear of the materials used for piston rings and cylinder liners. The specific base stock examined was a trimethylolpropane (TMP) ester derived from palm oil, and the nanoparticles were used as additives to obtain tribologically enhanced bio-based lubricants. The overall analysis of the results demonstrated the potential of nanoparticles to improve the tribological behavior of bio-based base stock for piston-ring?cylinder-liner interaction. 410 0$aSpringer Theses, Recognizing Outstanding Ph.D. Research,$x2190-5053 606 $aEngines 606 $aMachinery 606 $aTribology 606 $aCorrosion and anti-corrosives 606 $aCoatings 606 $aNanoscale science 606 $aNanoscience 606 $aNanostructures 606 $aEngine Technology$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/T17048 606 $aTribology, Corrosion and Coatings$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/Z15000 606 $aNanoscale Science and Technology$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P25140 615 0$aEngines. 615 0$aMachinery. 615 0$aTribology. 615 0$aCorrosion and anti-corrosives. 615 0$aCoatings. 615 0$aNanoscale science. 615 0$aNanoscience. 615 0$aNanostructures. 615 14$aEngine Technology. 615 24$aTribology, Corrosion and Coatings. 615 24$aNanoscale Science and Technology. 676 $a621.89 700 $aGulzar$b Mubashir$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$01065056 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910299907503321 996 $aTribological Study of Nanoparticles Enriched Bio-based Lubricants for Piston Ring?Cylinder Interaction$92542817 997 $aUNINA
