Several methods exist, each with their own advantages and limitations. Extensively referenced and filled with numerous tables and figures, this timely book focuses on the nutritional assessment of both recreational and professional athletes, including children, adolescents, and adults. In one volume, it presents methods for all types of nutritional evaluations, including dietary, anthropometric, physical activity needs, biochemical, and clinical assessments--Provided by publisher. 606 $aAthletes$xNutrition 606 $aNutrition$xEvaluation 615 0$aAthletes$xNutrition. 615 0$aNutrition$xEvaluation. 676 $a613.2/024796 701 $aDriskell$b Judy A$g(Judy Anne)$01471689 701 $aWolinsky$b Ira$0542865 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910785468703321 996 $aNutritional assessment of athletes$93684099 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03643nam 22006855 450 001 9910299825603321 005 20250609110709.0 010 $a9783662465905 010 $a3662465906 024 7 $a10.1007/978-3-662-46590-5 035 $a(CKB)3710000000378005 035 $a(EBL)2094527 035 $a(SSID)ssj0001465629 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11919378 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0001465629 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)11490496 035 $a(PQKB)11764844 035 $a(DE-He213)978-3-662-46590-5 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC2094527 035 $a(PPN)18488991X 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC3108594 035 $a(EXLCZ)993710000000378005 100 $a20150317d2015 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 14$aThe New Digital Natives $eCutting the Chord /$fby Alexei Dingli, Dylan Seychell 205 $a1st ed. 2015. 210 1$aBerlin, Heidelberg :$cSpringer Berlin Heidelberg :$cImprint: Springer,$d2015. 215 $a1 online resource (159 p.) 300 $aDescription based upon print version of record. 311 08$a9783662465899 311 08$a3662465892 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references and index. 327 $aIntroduction -- Who are the Digital Natives? -- Paradigm Shifts -- Blended Realities -- Nurturing Digital Natives -- Designing for Digital Natives -- Smart Homes -- Digital Governance -- Future Trends. 330 $aThe first generation of Digital Natives (DNs) is now growing up.  However, these digital natives were rather late starters since; their exposure to computers started when they could master the mouse and the penetration of computers in educational institutions was still very low. Today, a new breed of digital natives is emerging.  This new breed includes those individuals who are being introduced from their first instances to the world of wireless devices. One year olds manage to master the intuitive touch interfaces of their tablets whilst sitting comfortably in their baby bouncers. The controller-less interfaces allow these children to interact with a machine in a way which was unconceivable below. Thus, our research investigated the paradigm shift between the different generations of digital natives. We analysed the way in which these two generations differ from each other and we explored how the world needs to change in order to harness the potential of these new digital natives. 606 $aComputational intelligence 606 $aUser interfaces (Computer systems) 606 $aArtificial intelligence 606 $aComputational Intelligence$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/T11014 606 $aUser Interfaces and Human Computer Interaction$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I18067 606 $aArtificial Intelligence$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I21000 615 0$aComputational intelligence. 615 0$aUser interfaces (Computer systems) 615 0$aArtificial intelligence. 615 14$aComputational Intelligence. 615 24$aUser Interfaces and Human Computer Interaction. 615 24$aArtificial Intelligence. 676 $a005.437 676 $a006.3 676 $a4019 676 $a620 700 $aDingli$b Alexei$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$0721168 702 $aSeychell$b Dylan$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910299825603321 996 $aThe New Digital Natives$92544398 997 $aUNINA
