Examples of such systems can be seen in the world around us (including our bodies) and of course in almost every scientific discipline including such ?exotic? domains as the earth?s atmosphere, turbulent fluids, economics (exchange rate and stock markets), population growth, physics (control of plasma), information flow in social networks and its dynamics, chemistry and complex networks. To understand such complex dynamics, which often exhibit strange behavior, and to use it in research or industrial applications, it is paramount to create its models. For this purpose there exists a rich spectrum of methods, from classical such as ARMA models or Box Jenkins method to modern ones like evolutionary computation, neural networks, fuzzy logic, geometry, deterministic chaos amongst others. This proceedings book is a collection of accepted papers of the Nostradamus conference that has been held in Ostrava, Czech Republic in June 2014. This book also includes outstanding keynote lectures by distinguished guest speakers: René Lozi (France), Ponnuthurai Nagaratnam Suganthan (Singapore) and Lars Nolle  (Germany). The main aim of the conference was to create a periodical possibility for students, academics and researchers to exchange their ideas and novel research methods. This conference establishes a forum for presentation and discussion of recent research trends in the area of applications of various predictive methods. 410 0$aAdvances in Intelligent Systems and Computing,$x2194-5357 ;$v289 606 $aComputational intelligence 606 $aComputational complexity 606 $aArtificial intelligence 606 $aSoftware engineering 606 $aComputational Intelligence$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/T11014 606 $aComplexity$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/T11022 606 $aArtificial Intelligence$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I21000 606 $aSoftware Engineering/Programming and Operating Systems$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I14002 615 0$aComputational intelligence. 615 0$aComputational complexity. 615 0$aArtificial intelligence. 615 0$aSoftware engineering. 615 14$aComputational Intelligence. 615 24$aComplexity. 615 24$aArtificial Intelligence. 615 24$aSoftware Engineering/Programming and Operating Systems. 676 $a003.857 702 $aZelinka$b Ivan$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aSuganthan$b Ponnuthurai Nagaratnam$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aChen$b Guanrong$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aSnasel$b Vaclav$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aAbraham$b Ajith$f1968-$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aRössler$b Otto$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910299757203321 996 $aNostradamus 2014: Prediction, Modeling and Analysis of Complex Systems$92257543 997 $aUNINA
