One important reason is the lack of emission factors (EFs), especially for the residential solid fuel combustion in developing countries. In the present study, emission factors of a group of pollutants including particulate matter, organic carbon, elemental carbon (sometimes known as black carbon) and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons were measured for a variety of residential solid fuels including coal, crop straw, wood, and biomass pellets in rural China. The study provided a large number of emission factors that can be further used in emission estimation. Composition profiles and isomer ratios were investigated and compared so as to be used in source apportionment. In addition, the present study identified and quantified the influence of factors like fuel moisture, volatile matter on emission performance. The publication of the study will be of interest and helpful to the readers in the field of air pollution, human health, fuel saving and energy consumption etc. Guofeng Shen works at the Institute of Atmospheric Sciences, Jiangsu Academy of Environmental Sciences, China. 410 0$aSpringer Theses, Recognizing Outstanding Ph.D. Research,$x2190-5053 606 $aEnvironmental sciences 606 $aAir$xPollution 606 $aEnergy 606 $aClimatic changes 606 $aEnvironmental Science and Engineering$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/G37000 606 $aAtmospheric Protection/Air Quality Control/Air Pollution$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/U35010 606 $aEnergy, general$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/100000 606 $aClimate Change Management and Policy$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/314000 615 0$aEnvironmental sciences. 615 0$aAir$xPollution. 615 0$aEnergy. 615 0$aClimatic changes. 615 14$aEnvironmental Science and Engineering. 615 24$aAtmospheric Protection/Air Quality Control/Air Pollution. 615 24$aEnergy, general. 615 24$aClimate Change Management and Policy. 676 $a628.532 700 $aShen$b Guofeng$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$01059434 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910299557003321 996 $aEmission Factors of Carbonaceous Particulate Matter and Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons from Residential Solid Fuel Combustions$92505859 997 $aUNINA
