The author argues that Sweden?s education system ? even prior to the global spread of neoliberalism in education, meta-policies and privatization ? was never particularly equal. Instead, what became apparent was a system that offered advantages to the upper social classes under a sheen of meritocracy and tolerable inequalities. Combining ethnographic and meta-ethnographic methodologies and analyses, the author examines the phenomenon of structural injustice in the Swedish education system both vertically and diachronically across a period of intensive transformation and reform. This revealing volume offers a mode of engagement that will be of value and interest to researchers and students of injustices within education, as well as policy makers and practitioners. 606 $aEducation and state 606 $aEducational sociology 606 $aSchool management and organization 606 $aSchool administration 606 $aInternational education 606 $aComparative education 606 $aEducational Policy and Politics 606 $aSociology of Education 606 $aOrganization and Leadership 606 $aInternational and Comparative Education 615 0$aEducation and state. 615 0$aEducational sociology. 615 0$aSchool management and organization. 615 0$aSchool administration. 615 0$aInternational education. 615 0$aComparative education. 615 14$aEducational Policy and Politics. 615 24$aSociology of Education. 615 24$aOrganization and Leadership. 615 24$aInternational and Comparative Education. 676 $a370.9485 700 $aBeach$b Dennis$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$01062029 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910299516703321 996 $aStructural Injustices in Swedish Education$92522094 997 $aUNINA LEADER 00769nam 2200217zu 450 001 9911049045303321 005 20260109151624.0 010 $a3-96147-057-X 035 $a(CKB)44900875100041 035 $a(EXLCZ)9944900875100041 100 $a20260109|2017uuuu || | 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur||||||||||| 200 00$aKurzbesprechungen ausgewählter Gerichtsentscheidungen aus dem Zivilrecht : Sammlung examensrelevanter Entscheidungen (SEE) 210 $cFAU University Press$d2017 311 08$a3-96147-056-1 701 $aZwickel$b Martin$01555878 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9911049045303321 996 $aKurzbesprechungen ausgewählter Gerichtsentscheidungen aus dem Zivilrecht : Sammlung examensrelevanter Entscheidungen (SEE)$94526349 997 $aUNINA
