Unlike studies that collect and analyze data on regulation and supervision "on the books," this study also analyzes available information on supervisory implementation, making use of data from IMF-World Bank assessments of compliance with international standards and codes. Incorporating supervisory implementation into the study provides an improved means of assessing countries' regulatory systems. We find that countries' regulatory frameworks score on average one notch below full compliance with the standards (on a 4-notch scale). There are substantial differences in the quality of regulatory and supervisory frameworks across countries, with the income level being a major factor. 410 0$aIMF Working Papers; Working Paper ;$vNo. 2008/190 606 $aBanks and banking$xState supervision 606 $aFinancial institutions$xState supervision 606 $aBanks and Banking$2imf 606 $aFinance: General$2imf 606 $aMacroeconomics$2imf 606 $aBusiness and Financial$2imf 606 $aGeneral Financial Markets: Government Policy and Regulation$2imf 606 $aBanks$2imf 606 $aDepository Institutions$2imf 606 $aMicro Finance Institutions$2imf 606 $aMortgages$2imf 606 $aCorporation and Securities Law$2imf 606 $aPersonal Income, Wealth, and Their Distributions$2imf 606 $aFinancial services law & regulation$2imf 606 $aFinance$2imf 606 $aBanking$2imf 606 $aFinancial Sector Assessment Program$2imf 606 $aBasel Core Principles$2imf 606 $aSecurities regulation$2imf 606 $aPersonal income$2imf 606 $aFinancial services industry$2imf 606 $aBanks and banking$2imf 606 $aState supervision$2imf 606 $aNonbank financial institutions$2imf 606 $aLaw and legislation$2imf 606 $aIncome$2imf 607 $aBelgium$2imf 615 0$aBanks and banking$xState supervision. 615 0$aFinancial institutions$xState supervision. 615 7$aBanks and Banking 615 7$aFinance: General 615 7$aMacroeconomics 615 7$aBusiness and Financial 615 7$aGeneral Financial Markets: Government Policy and Regulation 615 7$aBanks 615 7$aDepository Institutions 615 7$aMicro Finance Institutions 615 7$aMortgages 615 7$aCorporation and Securities Law 615 7$aPersonal Income, Wealth, and Their Distributions 615 7$aFinancial services law & regulation 615 7$aFinance 615 7$aBanking 615 7$aFinancial Sector Assessment Program 615 7$aBasel Core Principles 615 7$aSecurities regulation 615 7$aPersonal income 615 7$aFinancial services industry 615 7$aBanks and banking 615 7$aState supervision 615 7$aNonbank financial institutions 615 7$aLaw and legislation 615 7$aIncome 676 $a332.1 700 $aCihak$b Martin$01106217 701 $aTieman$b Alexander$01485174 801 0$bDcWaIMF 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910788233503321 996 $aQuality of Financial Sector Regulation and Supervision Around the World$93704164 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03957nam 22008055 450 001 9910298984303321 005 20200701011617.0 010 $a3-319-11268-6 024 7 $a10.1007/978-3-319-11268-8 035 $a(CKB)3710000000269651 035 $a(EBL)1965278 035 $a(SSID)ssj0001372377 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11831417 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0001372377 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)11304214 035 $a(PQKB)11566164 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC1965278 035 $a(DE-He213)978-3-319-11268-8 035 $a(PPN)182094642 035 $a(EXLCZ)993710000000269651 100 $a20141028d2014 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 10$aScience Gateways for Distributed Computing Infrastructures $eDevelopment Framework and Exploitation by Scientific User Communities /$fedited by Péter Kacsuk 205 $a1st ed. 2014. 210 1$aCham :$cSpringer International Publishing :$cImprint: Springer,$d2014. 215 $a1 online resource (308 p.) 300 $aDescription based upon print version of record. 311 $a3-319-11267-8 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references. 327 $aWS-PGRADE/gUSE Science Gateway Framework -- Domain-Specific Science Gateways Customized from the WS-PGRADE/gUSE Framework -- Further Applications of WS-PGRADE/gUSE -- Conclusions and Outlook. 330 $aThe book describes the science gateway building technology developed in the SCI-BUS European project and its adoption and customization method, by which user communities, such as biologists, chemists, and astrophysicists, can build customized, domain-specific science gateways. Many aspects of the core technology are explained in detail, including its workflow capability, job submission mechanism to various grids and clouds, and its data transfer mechanisms among several distributed infrastructures. The book will be useful for scientific researchers and IT professionals engaged in the development of science gateways. 606 $aSoftware engineering 606 $aComputers 606 $aInformation technology 606 $aBusiness?Data processing 606 $aComputer science$xMathematics 606 $aApplication software 606 $aSoftware Engineering/Programming and Operating Systems$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I14002 606 $aInformation Systems and Communication Service$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I18008 606 $aIT in Business$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/522000 606 $aComputational Mathematics and Numerical Analysis$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/M1400X 606 $aComputer Applications$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I23001 606 $aTheory of Computation$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I16005 615 0$aSoftware engineering. 615 0$aComputers. 615 0$aInformation technology. 615 0$aBusiness?Data processing. 615 0$aComputer science$xMathematics. 615 0$aApplication software. 615 14$aSoftware Engineering/Programming and Operating Systems. 615 24$aInformation Systems and Communication Service. 615 24$aIT in Business. 615 24$aComputational Mathematics and Numerical Analysis. 615 24$aComputer Applications. 615 24$aTheory of Computation. 676 $a004 676 $a004.0151 676 $a005.1 676 $a005.7 676 $a518 676 $a650 702 $aKacsuk$b Péter$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910298984303321 996 $aScience Gateways for Distributed Computing Infrastructures$92088450 997 $aUNINA
