It explores the representation of discourse in cinema --  the way particular manifestations of verbal interaction are reproduced in film. Whereas 'representation' generally refers to the language used in texts to assign meaning to a group and its social practices, here discourse representation more directly refers to the relationship between real-life and cinematic discourse. Piazza analyses how fictional dialogue reinterprets authentic interaction in order to construe particular meanings. Beginning by exploring the relationship between discourse and genre, the second half of the book takes a topic-based approach and reflects on the themes of narrative and identity. The analysis carried out takes on board the multi-semiotic and multimodal components of film discourse. The book uses also uses concepts and methodologies from pragmatics, conversation analysis and discourse analysis. 410 0$aAdvances in stylistics. 606 $aMotion picture plays, Italian$xHistory and criticism 606 $2Films, cinema 606 $aMotion pictures$zItaly 615 0$aMotion picture plays, Italian$xHistory and criticism. 615 0$aMotion pictures 676 $a791.430945 700 $aPiazza$b Roberta$0467444 801 0$bUtOrBLW 801 1$bUtOrBLW 801 2$bUkLoBP 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910459628403321 996 $aThe discourse of Italian cinema and beyond$92471374 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03595nam 22006495 450 001 9910298630603321 005 20200702104349.0 010 $a3-319-13030-7 024 7 $a10.1007/978-3-319-13030-9 035 $a(CKB)3710000000342453 035 $a(EBL)1963400 035 $a(SSID)ssj0001424273 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11891768 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0001424273 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)11383037 035 $a(PQKB)10508831 035 $a(DE-He213)978-3-319-13030-9 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC1963400 035 $a(PPN)183518411 035 $a(EXLCZ)993710000000342453 100 $a20150116d2015 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 10$aMaterial Selections by a Hybrid Multi-Criteria Approach /$fby Fabrizio D?Errico 205 $a1st ed. 2015. 210 1$aCham :$cSpringer International Publishing :$cImprint: Springer,$d2015. 215 $a1 online resource (128 p.) 225 1 $aSpringerBriefs in Materials,$x2192-1091 300 $aDescription based upon print version of record. 311 $a3-319-13029-3 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references. 327 $aThe Material Selection Strategy -- Multi-objective optimization in engineering design -- The total explicit-implicit approach: the special QFD matrix for material selection -- The use of  QFD4Mat and graphic tools for the material screening in product development processes -- References. 330 $aThis Brief presents a new method that is based on the author and his students? shared experience in applying a structured procedure that has as its main goal the creation of a material selection technique that uses language and employs a platform that is not restricted to engineers. Based on a hybrid approach that exploits both traditional and semi-quantitative concepts, it moves forward step-by step, and uses a platform based on a Quality Function Deployment matrix framework. Candidate materials are screened out  and finally assessed by two user-friendly graphic analysis tools, one based on the value curve of the product and the other on an original Bubble Maps tool. The Brief is written for all those whose aim is for a better understanding of how to integrate and speed up the entire product development process from the initial product concept and engineering design phases to design specs, manufacturability and product marketing with optimal choice of materials. 410 0$aSpringerBriefs in Materials,$x2192-1091 606 $aMaterials science 606 $aManufactures 606 $aAlgorithms 606 $aMaterials Science, general$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/Z00000 606 $aManufacturing, Machines, Tools, Processes$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/T22050 606 $aAlgorithm Analysis and Problem Complexity$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I16021 615 0$aMaterials science. 615 0$aManufactures. 615 0$aAlgorithms. 615 14$aMaterials Science, general. 615 24$aManufacturing, Machines, Tools, Processes. 615 24$aAlgorithm Analysis and Problem Complexity. 676 $a005.1 676 $a620.11 676 $a670 700 $aD?Errico$b Fabrizio$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$0929218 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910298630603321 996 $aMaterial Selections by a Hybrid Multi-Criteria Approach$92088434 997 $aUNINA
