ICCS 2016 is the second cycle of a study initiated in 2009. This report from ICCS focuses on data collected in the 15 countries that participated in the study?s 2016 European regional questionnaire. It reveals lower secondary school students? views on European identity, their perceptions of freedom of movement and immigration, and their opinions of Europe and its future. It also, for the 12 European countries that participated in both ICCS 2009 and ICCS 2016, looks at changes across this time period, in young people?s perceptions of immigration and European identity. Comparison with the complete international study will enable readers to review the extent to which region-specific perceptions are related to other factors, such as students? level of civic knowledge and social or educational contexts. Over the past 50 years, the IEA has conducted comparative research studies in a range of domains focusing on educational policies, practices, and outcomes in many countries around the world. The association conducted its first survey of civic education in 1971. The reliable comparative data collected by ICCS 2016 will allow education systems to evaluate the strengths of educational policies, both internationally and within a regional context, and to measure their progress toward achieving critical components of the United Nations? 2030 agenda for sustainable development. 606 $aEducational tests and measurements 606 $aInternational education 606 $aComparative education 606 $aEducation and state 606 $aAssessment and Testing 606 $aInternational and Comparative Education 606 $aEducational Policy and Politics 615 0$aEducational tests and measurements. 615 0$aInternational education. 615 0$aComparative education. 615 0$aEducation and state. 615 14$aAssessment and Testing. 615 24$aInternational and Comparative Education. 615 24$aEducational Policy and Politics. 676 $a371.26 686 $aEDU011000$aEDU034000$aEDU043000$2bisacsh 700 $aLosito$b Bruno$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$0286496 702 $aAgrusti$b Gabriella$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut 702 $aDamiani$b Valeria$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut 702 $aSchulz$b Wolfram$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910293142803321 996 $aYoung People's Perceptions of Europe in a Time of Change$92234746 997 $aUNINA LEADER 04714nam 22006975 450 001 9910298585503321 005 20200706115913.0 010 $a3-319-71676-X 024 7 $a10.1007/978-3-319-71676-3 035 $a(CKB)4100000007110589 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC5598512 035 $a(DE-He213)978-3-319-71676-3 035 $a(PPN)232468591 035 $a(EXLCZ)994100000007110589 100 $a20181103d2018 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aBiomimetics $eBioinspired Hierarchical-Structured Surfaces for Green Science and Technology /$fby Bharat Bhushan 205 $a3rd ed. 2018. 210 1$aCham :$cSpringer International Publishing :$cImprint: Springer,$d2018. 215 $a1 online resource (995 pages) 225 1 $aSpringer Series in Materials Science,$x0933-033X ;$v279 311 $a3-319-71675-1 327 $aIntroduction -- Roughness-Induced Superliquiphilic/phobic Surfaces: Lessons from Nature -- Modeling of Contact Angle for a Liquid in Contact with a Rough Surface for Various Wetting Regimes -- Lotus Effect Surfaces in Nature -- Fabrication Techniques used for Superliquiphilic/phobic Structures -- Strategies of Micro-, Nano- and Hierarchically Structured Lotus-like Surfaces -- Fabrication and Characterization of Mechanically Durable Superhydrophobic Surfaces -- Fabrication and Characterization of Micropatterned Structures Inspired by Salvinia Molesta -- Characterization of Rose Petals and Fabrication and Characterization of Superhydrophobic Surfaces with High and Low Adhesion -- Modeling and Strategies of Superoleophobic/philic Surfaces -- Fabrication and Characterization of Superoleophilic/phobic Surfaces -- Shark-Skin Surface for Fluid-Drag Reduction in Turbulent Flow -- Black Skimmer Surfaces for Fluid-Drag Reduction in Turbulent Flow -- Gecko Adhesion -- Structure and Mechanical Properties of Nacre -- Self-Healing Materials -- Outlook. 330 $aThis book presents an overview of the general field of biomimetics and biologically inspired, hierarchically structured surfaces. It deals with various examples of biomimetics, which include surfaces with roughness-induced super-phobicity/philicity, self-cleaning, antifouling, low drag, low/high/reversible adhesion, drag reduction in fluid flow, reversible adhesion, surfaces with high hardness and mechanical toughness, vivid colors produced structurally without color pigments, self-healing, water harvesting and purification, and insect locomotion and stinging. The focus in the book is on the Lotus Effect, Salvinia Effect, Rose Petal Effect, Superoleophobic/philic Surfaces, Shark Skin and Skimmer Bird Effect, Rice Leaf and Butterfly Wing Effect, Gecko Adhesion, Insects Locomotion and Stinging, Self-healing Materials, Nacre, Structural Coloration, and Nanofabrication. This is the first book of this kind on bioinspired surfaces, and the third edition represents a significant expansion from the previous two editions. 410 0$aSpringer Series in Materials Science,$x0933-033X ;$v279 606 $aTribology 606 $aCorrosion and anti-corrosives 606 $aCoatings 606 $aNanotechnology 606 $aGreen chemistry 606 $aSurfaces (Physics) 606 $aInterfaces (Physical sciences) 606 $aThin films 606 $aTribology, Corrosion and Coatings$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/Z15000 606 $aNanotechnology$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/Z14000 606 $aGreen Chemistry$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/C35000 606 $aSurface and Interface Science, Thin Films$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P25160 606 $aTribology, Corrosion and Coatings$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/Z15000 615 0$aTribology. 615 0$aCorrosion and anti-corrosives. 615 0$aCoatings. 615 0$aNanotechnology. 615 0$aGreen chemistry. 615 0$aSurfaces (Physics) 615 0$aInterfaces (Physical sciences) 615 0$aThin films. 615 14$aTribology, Corrosion and Coatings. 615 24$aNanotechnology. 615 24$aGreen Chemistry. 615 24$aSurface and Interface Science, Thin Films. 615 24$aTribology, Corrosion and Coatings. 676 $a610.28 700 $aBhushan$b Bharat$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$0151428 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910298585503321 996 $aBiomimetics$91568356 997 $aUNINA
