The services rendered by forest ecosystems range from intrinsic to anthropocentric benefits that are typically grouped as provisioning, regulating, supporting, and cultural.  The research efforts, assessments, and attempts to manage forest ecosystems for their sustained services are now widely published in scientific literature.  This volume focuses on broad-scale aspects of forest ecosystem services, beyond individual stands to large landscapes. In doing so, it illustrates the conceptual and practical opportunities as well as challenges involved with planning for forest ecosystem services across landscapes, regions, and nations. The goal here is to broaden the scope of land use planning through the adoption of a landscape-scale approach. Even though this approach is complex and involves multiple ecological, social, cultural, economic, and political dimensions, the landscape perspective appears to offer the best opportunity for a sustained provision of forest ecosystem services. 606 $aApplied ecology 606 $aForestry management 606 $aLandscape ecology 606 $aEnvironmental management 606 $aEcosystems 606 $aConservation biology 606 $aEcology  606 $aApplied Ecology$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/L19023 606 $aForestry Management$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/L22016 606 $aLandscape Ecology$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/L19058 606 $aEnvironmental Management$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/U17009 606 $aEcosystems$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/L1904X 606 $aConservation Biology/Ecology$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/L19150 615 0$aApplied ecology. 615 0$aForestry management. 615 0$aLandscape ecology. 615 0$aEnvironmental management. 615 0$aEcosystems. 615 0$aConservation biology. 615 0$aEcology . 615 14$aApplied Ecology. 615 24$aForestry Management. 615 24$aLandscape Ecology. 615 24$aEnvironmental Management. 615 24$aEcosystems. 615 24$aConservation Biology/Ecology. 676 $a577.3 702 $aPerera$b Ajith H$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aPeterson$b Urmas$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aPastur$b Guillermo Martínez$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aIverson$b Louis R$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910298438303321 996 $aEcosystem Services from Forest Landscapes$92526655 997 $aUNINA
