The panel was interviewed on 12 separate occasions about how and why they made their voting choices. The book focuses on how electoral choices are made and how these choices evolve during the short time-span of an election campaign. The analysis of the 2012 electoral result shows more than ever that voting choices are the fruit of interweaving timelines: the long term period that characterizes voters? predispositions and their predictions of a possible scenario; the shorter period of time during which the campaign unfolds where those predispositions are either confirmed, called into question, or undone; and the moment when the final choice is made. This is the first time the electoral decision-making process during a French Presidential election has been systematically studied. . 410 0$aEurope in Transition: The NYU European Studies Series 606 $aEurope$xPolitics and government 606 $aElections 606 $aPolitical science 606 $aPolitical sociology 606 $aDemography 606 $aPopulation 606 $aSociology$xMethodology 606 $aEuropean Politics 606 $aElectoral Politics 606 $aPolitical Science 606 $aPolitical Sociology 606 $aPopulation and Demography 606 $aSociological Methods 615 0$aEurope$xPolitics and government. 615 0$aElections. 615 0$aPolitical science. 615 0$aPolitical sociology. 615 0$aDemography. 615 0$aPopulation. 615 0$aSociology$xMethodology. 615 14$aEuropean Politics. 615 24$aElectoral Politics. 615 24$aPolitical Science. 615 24$aPolitical Sociology. 615 24$aPopulation and Demography. 615 24$aSociological Methods. 676 $a324.94408412 702 $aPerrineau$b Pascal$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910255327203321 996 $aThe 2012 French Election$92543896 997 $aUNINA
