It establishes a causal link between Islam?s role in state nationalism and Islamization of government during various periods of the history of both countries. The indicators used to establish the causal link between Islam?s role in state nationalism and Islamization are the presence of Islamic provisions in the constitution, Islam-inspired national symbols, Islamic images on the national currency, Islamic basis of family law, a Department of Religious Affairs, and governmental support for religious education. The book concludes by identifying three causal mechanisms?legitimacy, mobilization, and authenticity?that link Islam?s role in state nationalism and the Islamization of government. 410 0$aPalgrave Studies in Religion, Politics, and Policy,$x2731-6777 606 $aComparative government 606 $aMiddle East$xPolitics and government 606 $aWorld politics 606 $aIslam 606 $aComparative Politics 606 $aMiddle Eastern Politics 606 $aPolitical History 606 $aIslam 615 0$aComparative government. 615 0$aMiddle East$xPolitics and government. 615 0$aWorld politics. 615 0$aIslam. 615 14$aComparative Politics. 615 24$aMiddle Eastern Politics. 615 24$aPolitical History. 615 24$aIslam. 676 $a320.557 700 $aAli Saleem$b Raja M$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$0943461 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910255288703321 996 $aState, Nationalism, and Islamization$92129352 997 $aUNINA
