The real problems are complex, and sophisticated methodology is needed to handle them. Agent-based modeling and simulation is one methodology that provides a bottom-up experimental approach applicable to social sciences such as economics, management, sociology, and politics as well as some engineering fields dealing with social activities. However, to improve the applicability of agent-based modeling and simulation methods, a new perspective is needed. In this book, that new perspective is developed and utilized to deal with many cases of real-world problems such as the supply chain, land use and land cover, transportation, health, services, economics, and social problems. The cases are selected from papers presented at the Ninth International Workshop on Agent-Based Approaches in Economic and Social Complex Systems held in Bali, Indonesia, in 2015. At the workshop, 29 reviewed full papers were presented, and of those, 16 were selected to be included in this volume. 410 0$aAgent-Based Social Systems,$x1861-0803 ;$v15 606 $aManagement 606 $aIndustrial management 606 $aKnowledge management 606 $aEconomic policy 606 $aEconomics 606 $aOperations research 606 $aDecision making 606 $aEngineering economics 606 $aEngineering economy 606 $aInnovation/Technology Management$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/518000 606 $aKnowledge Management$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/515030 606 $aR & D/Technology Policy$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/W43000 606 $aPolitical Economy/Economic Systems$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/W46000 606 $aOperations Research/Decision Theory$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/521000 606 $aEngineering Economics, Organization, Logistics, Marketing$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/T22016 615 0$aManagement. 615 0$aIndustrial management. 615 0$aKnowledge management. 615 0$aEconomic policy. 615 0$aEconomics. 615 0$aOperations research. 615 0$aDecision making. 615 0$aEngineering economics. 615 0$aEngineering economy. 615 14$aInnovation/Technology Management. 615 24$aKnowledge Management. 615 24$aR & D/Technology Policy. 615 24$aPolitical Economy/Economic Systems. 615 24$aOperations Research/Decision Theory. 615 24$aEngineering Economics, Organization, Logistics, Marketing. 676 $a330.015193 702 $aPutro$b Utomo Sarjono$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aIchikawa$b Manabu$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aSiallagan$b Manahan$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910254900303321 996 $aAgent-Based Approaches in Economics and Social Complex Systems IX$91925359 997 $aUNINA
