Nazi Germany and Southern Europe, 1933-45 begins with the topic of cultural contacts, the German classical diplomatic first approach to foreign countries. From there it proceeds to the examination of how the hybrid German scientific and academic networks were formed, maintained and developed in Southern European countries, while also taking into account a sensitive issue of this period and a central ideological piece of the Nazi regime: the circulation and appropriation of eugenics and 'race' related questions in Southern Europe. Finally, the German colonial discourse comes into focus and, with it, the political and scientific dimensions of National Socialist expansionist policies. It is a European study that maybe unexpectedly, and yet logically, can only end in South America. 606 $aWorld War, 1939-1945 606 $aWorld politics 606 $aEurope-History 606 $aHistory, Modern 606 $aInternational relations 606 $aHistory of World War II and the Holocaust$3http://scigraph.springernature.com/things/product-market-codes/717110 606 $aPolitical History$3http://scigraph.springernature.com/things/product-market-codes/911080 606 $aEuropean History$3http://scigraph.springernature.com/things/product-market-codes/717000 606 $aModern History$3http://scigraph.springernature.com/things/product-market-codes/713000 606 $aInternational Relations$3http://scigraph.springernature.com/things/product-market-codes/912000 607 $aGermany$xForeign relations$zEurope, Southern$vCongresses 607 $aEurope, Southern$xForeign relations$zGermany$vCongresses 607 $aGermany$xPolitics and government$y1933-1945$vCongresses 615 0$aWorld War, 1939-1945. 615 0$aWorld politics. 615 0$aEurope-History. 615 0$aHistory, Modern. 615 0$aInternational relations. 615 14$aHistory of World War II and the Holocaust. 615 24$aPolitical History. 615 24$aEuropean History. 615 24$aModern History. 615 24$aInternational Relations. 676 $a327.430409/043 702 $aClara$b Fernando$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aNinhos$b Cláudia$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910254787603321 996 $aNazi Germany and Southern Europe, 1933?45$92065535 997 $aUNINA
