The potential of the LHC to discover the signal of dark matter associated production with a photon is studied after including next-to-leading order QCD corrections. The factorization and resummation of t-channel top quark transverse momentum distribution in the standard model at both the Tevatron and the LHC with soft-collinear effective theory are presented. The potential of the early LHC to discover the signal of monotops is discussed. These examples illustrate the method of searching for new physics beyond what is known today with high precision. 410 0$aSpringer Theses, Recognizing Outstanding Ph.D. Research,$x2190-5053 606 $aElementary particles (Physics) 606 $aQuantum field theory 606 $aString theory 606 $aElementary Particles, Quantum Field Theory$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P23029 606 $aQuantum Field Theories, String Theory$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P19048 615 0$aElementary particles (Physics). 615 0$aQuantum field theory. 615 0$aString theory. 615 14$aElementary Particles, Quantum Field Theory. 615 24$aQuantum Field Theories, String Theory. 676 $a539.7548 700 $aWang$b Jian$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$0525063 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910254612003321 996 $aQCD Higher-Order Effects and Search for New Physics$92528319 997 $aUNINA
