It takes a purposeful geographical approach to the study of the creative industries across various Western, Central and Eastern European contexts since the 2008-2009 recession. Despite the growing research looking at the development of the creative industries in the last 15 years, there are still gaps in the coverage of what is happening in Central and Eastern Europe compared to Western Europe. This book addresses these gaps in two parts focusing on particular geographical scales and creative processes: local interplay between sector and space and the role of the creative industries in regional and national economies after the crisis. The book presents original analyses of the post-crisis environment, and novel data on topics such as the role of institutions in the regulation of the fashion industry in global cities, the impact of clustering on film innovation, location patterns of art galleries, regional specialisations and paths of professional carriers in creative industries. . 606 $aHuman geography 606 $aUrban geography 606 $aEconomic geography 606 $aPhysical geography 606 $aHuman Geography$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/X26000 606 $aUrban Geography / Urbanism (inc. megacities, cities, towns)$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/J15010 606 $aEconomic Geography$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/J12000 606 $aWorld Regional Geography (Continents, Countries, Regions)$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/J19000 615 0$aHuman geography. 615 0$aUrban geography. 615 0$aEconomic geography. 615 0$aPhysical geography. 615 14$aHuman Geography. 615 24$aUrban Geography / Urbanism (inc. megacities, cities, towns). 615 24$aEconomic Geography. 615 24$aWorld Regional Geography (Continents, Countries, Regions). 676 $a304.2 702 $aChapain$b Caroline$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aStryjakiewicz$b Tadeusz$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910252708303321 996 $aCreative Industries in Europe$92535469 997 $aUNINA
