This book looks at the challenges faced in implementing a risk management framework as well as the key elements of such a framework. It is designed for the business professional that is not an expert in risk management and addresses all of the major risks that are likely to be faced in practice, considering the risk mitigation and measurement techniques that are most likely to be relevant. This is an intermediate book and accordingly does not focus on the mathematical elements but rather provides a readable entry text for anyone seeking information on this important subject. 410 0$aFinance and financial management collection. 606 $aRisk management 606 $aStrategic planning 615 0$aRisk management. 615 0$aStrategic planning. 676 $a658.155 700 $aCox$b Dennis W.$0911729 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910811400203321 996 $aEnterprise risk management in a nutshell$93955578 997 $aUNINA LEADER 04093nam 22008415 450 001 9910231247903321 005 20251030105713.0 010 $a9781137538284 010 $a1137538287 024 7 $a10.1057/978-1-137-53828-4 035 $a(CKB)3780000000451187 035 $a(DE-He213)978-1-137-53828-4 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC5575111 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL5575111 035 $a(OCoLC)1002638079 035 $a(oapen)https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/58161 035 $a(ScCtBLL)1af9bfee-6f84-4ef6-999c-74d26e66e170 035 $a(Perlego)4371309 035 $a(Perlego)2338677 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC4933594 035 $a(ODN)ODN0010073093 035 $a(oapen)doab58161 035 $a(oapen)doab30605 035 $a(DNLM)1718039 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL4933594 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr11472111 035 $a(EXLCZ)993780000000451187 100 $a20170801d2017 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurnn#008mamaa 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aRemembering and Disremembering the Dead $ePosthumous Punishment, Harm and Redemption over Time /$fby Floris Tomasini 205 $a1st ed. 2017. 210 1$aLondon :$cPalgrave Macmillan UK :$cImprint: Palgrave Macmillan,$d2017. 215 $a103 p 225 1 $aPalgrave Historical Studies in the Criminal Corpse and its Afterlife,$x2947-6356 311 08$a9781137538277 311 08$a1137538279 327 $aChapter 1: Introduction -- PART I ? This book is a multidisciplinary work that investigates the notion of posthumous harm over time. The question what is and when is death, affects how we understand the possibility of posthumous harm and redemption. Whilst it is impossible to hurt the dead, it is possible to harm the wishes, beliefs and memories of persons that once lived. In this way, this book highlights the vulnerability of the dead, and makes connections to a historical oeuvre, to add critical value to similar concepts in history that are overlooked by most philosophers. There is a long historical view of case studies that illustrate the conceptual character of posthumous punishment; that is, dissection and gibbetting of the criminal corpse after the Murder Act (1752), and those shot at dawn during the First World War. A long historical view is also taken of posthumous harm; that is, body-snatching in the late Georgian period, and organ-snatching at Alder Hey in the 1990s. 410 0$aPalgrave Historical Studies in the Criminal Corpse and its Afterlife,$x2947-6356 606 $aCivilization$xHistory 606 $aScience$xHistory 606 $aCrime$xSociological aspects 606 $aGreat Britain$xHistory 606 $aSocial history 606 $aCultural History 606 $aHistory of Science 606 $aCrime and Society 606 $aHistory of Britain and Ireland 606 $aSocial History 615 0$aCivilization$xHistory. 615 0$aScience$xHistory. 615 0$aCrime$xSociological aspects. 615 0$aGreat Britain$xHistory. 615 0$aSocial history. 615 14$aCultural History. 615 24$aHistory of Science. 615 24$aCrime and Society. 615 24$aHistory of Britain and Ireland. 615 24$aSocial History. 676 $a306.09 686 $aHIS015000$aHIS054000$aSCI034000$aSOC004000$2bisacsh 700 $aTomasini$b Floris$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$0904201 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910231247903321 996 $aRemembering and Disremembering the Dead$92233328 997 $aUNINA
