Le colloque réuni en septembre 1997 au château de Cerisy-la-Salle visait à mettre en lumière, dans les domaines juridique, religieux, économique, scientifique et artistique, les attaches privilégiées de Frédéric II avec l?héritage normand de sa mère Constance, fille de Roger II roi de Sicile et descendante de Tancrède de Hauteville.
