The book compares Finnish and Chinese legal and policy stances in specific policy areas of relevance for the Arctic, including maritime sovereignty, scientific research, marine protected areas, the Svalbard Treaty and Arctic Council co-operation. Building on these findings, the book offers general conclusions on Finnish and Chinese approaches to Arctic governance and international law, as well as new theoretical insights on Arctic governance. The book is the result of a collaboration between The Northern Institute for Environmental and Minority Law (Arctic Centre, University of Lapland) and researchers from Wuhan University 410 0$aHart studies in private law. 606 $aJurisdiction, Territorial$zArctic regions 606 $aTerritorial waters$zChina 606 $aTerritorial waters$zFinland 606 $2International environmental law 607 $aArctic regions$xInternational status 607 $aArctic regions$xRelations$zChina 607 $aArctic regions$xRelations$zFinland 607 $aChina$xRelations$zArctic regions 607 $aFinland$xRelations$zArctic regions 615 0$aJurisdiction, Territorial 615 0$aTerritorial waters 615 0$aTerritorial waters 676 $a341.4/4091632 702 $aKoivurova$b Timo 801 0$bUtOrBLW 801 1$bUtOrBLW 801 2$bUkLoBP 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910162765003321 996 $aArctic law and governance$93602266 997 $aUNINA
