The language is spoken by about 10,000 people in the Chitral district in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province. This is the first extensive description of the formerly little-documented Palula language, and is one of only a few in-depth studies available for languages in the extremely multilingual Hindukush-Karakoram region. The grammar is based on original fieldwork data, collected over the course of about ten years, commencing in 1998. It is primarily in the form of recorded, mainly narrative, texts, but supplemented by targeted elicitation as well as notes of observed language use. All fieldwork was conducted in close collaboration with the Palula-speaking community, and a number of native speakers took active part in the process of data gathering, annotation and data management. The main areas covered are phonology, morphology and syntax, illustrated with a large number of example items and utterances, but also a few selected lexical topics of some prominence have received a more detailed treatment as part of the morphosyntactic structure. Suggestions for further research that should be undertaken are given throughout the grammar. The approach is theory-informed rather than theory-driven, but an underlying functional-typological framework is assumed. Diachronic development is taken into account, particularly in the area of morphology, and comparisons with other languages and references to areal phenomena are included insofar as they are motivated and available. The description also provides a brief introduction to the speaker community and their immediate environment." 410 0$aStudies in diversity linguistics ;$v8. 606 $aPhalura language$xGrammar 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aPhalura language$xGrammar. 676 $a491.499 700 $aLiljegren$b Henrik$0985464 801 0$bAuAdUSA 801 1$bAuAdUSA 801 2$bUkMaJRU 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910162058303321 996 $aA grammar of Palula$92252570 997 $aUNINA LEADER 06486oam 2200649M 450 001 9910819502403321 005 20240405023238.0 010 $a0-429-97223-7 010 $a0-429-96115-4 010 $a0-429-49260-X 010 $a1-78539-514-9 010 $a0-8133-4939-7 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC1771946 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL1771946 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr11025126 035 $a(CaONFJC)MIL759810 035 $a(OCoLC)919201533 035 $a(OCoLC)1031657268 035 $a(FlBoTFG)9780429492600 035 $a(OCoLC)1182006866 035 $a(OCoLC-P)1182006866 035 $a(PPN)188578560 035 $a(CKB)3710000000354191 035 $a(EXLCZ)993710000000354191 100 $a20150115d2015 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur||||||||||| 181 $2rdacontent 182 $2rdamedia 183 $2rdacarrier 200 12$aA political economy of the Middle East /$fMelani Cammett, Ishac Diwan, Alan Richards, John Waterbury 205 $aFourth edition. 210 1$aLondon :$cRoutledge,$d2015. 215 $a1 online resource (613 pages) $cillustrations, maps, tables 311 $a0-367-09799-0 311 $a0-8133-4938-9 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references and index. 327 $aCover -- Half Title -- Title Page -- Copyright Page -- CONTENTS -- List of Illustrations -- Preface -- Acronyms and Abbreviations -- 1 INTRODUCTION AND FRAMEWORK OF THE STUDY -- The Arab Uprisings of 2011: How Did We Get There? The fourth edition, with new authors Melani Cammett and Ishac Diwan, has been thoroughly revised, with two new introductory chapters that provide an updated framework with which to understand and study the many changes in demography, education, labor markets, urbanization, water and agriculture, and international labor migration in the recent years. The new edition also includes: a new chapter that charts the political economy of the Gulf states and, in particular, the phenomenal growth of oil economies; a new chapter on the rise of "crony capitalism;" and increased coverage of the changes in civil society and social movements in the region, including an exploration of the causes, dynamics, consequences, and aftermath of the Arab uprisings. 606 $aWorking class$zMiddle East 607 $aMiddle East$xEconomic conditions$y1979- 607 $aMiddle East$xEconomic policy 607 $aMiddle East$xPolitics and government$y1979- 615 0$aWorking class 676 $a330.956 686 $aPOL023000$aHIS026000$aBUS068000$2bisacsh 700 $aCammett$b Melani Claire$f1969-$0769707 702 $aDiwan$b Ishac 702 $aRichards$b Alan$f1946- 702 $aWaterbury$b John 801 0$bOCoLC-P 801 1$bOCoLC-P 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910819502403321 996 $aA political economy of the Middle East$94080173 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03868nam 22006255 450 001 9910736003303321 005 20230729114257.0 010 $a3-031-32581-8 024 7 $a10.1007/978-3-031-32581-6 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC30669105 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL30669105 035 $a(DE-He213)978-3-031-32581-6 035 $a(PPN)272256676 035 $a(CKB)27878694400041 035 $a(EXLCZ)9927878694400041 100 $a20230729d2023 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aAugmented Reality $eWhere We Will All Live /$fby Jon Peddie 205 $a2nd ed. 2023. 210 1$aCham :$cSpringer International Publishing :$cImprint: Springer,$d2023. 215 $a1 online resource (429 pages) 311 08$aPrint version: Peddie, Jon Augmented Reality Cham : Springer International Publishing AG,c2023 9783031325809 327 $aForeword by Thomas A. The author presents AR from its initial philosophies and early developments, and in this updated 2nd edition discusses the latest advances and the ramifications they bring and the impact they have on modern society. He examines the new companies that have entered the field and those that have failed or were acquired giving a complete history of AR progress. He explores the possible future developments providing readers with the tools to understand issues relating to defining, building, and using their perception of what is represented in their perceived reality, and ultimately how we assimilate and react to this information. In Augmented Reality: Where We Will All Live 2nd Edition, Jon Peddie has amassed and integrated a corpus of material that is finally in one place. It will serve as a comprehensive guide and provide valuable insights for technologists, marketers, business managers, educators and academics who are interested in the field of augmented reality, its concepts, history, practices, and the science behind this rapidly advancing field of research and development. 606 $aComputer science 606 $aComputer graphics 606 $aUser interfaces (Computer systems) 606 $aHuman-computer interaction 606 $aComputer-aided engineering 606 $aComputer Science 606 $aComputer Graphics 606 $aUser Interfaces and Human Computer Interaction 606 $aComputer-Aided Engineering (CAD, CAE) and Design 615 0$aComputer science. 615 0$aComputer graphics. 615 0$aUser interfaces (Computer systems). 615 0$aHuman-computer interaction. 615 0$aComputer-aided engineering. 615 14$aComputer Science. 615 24$aComputer Graphics. 615 24$aUser Interfaces and Human Computer Interaction. 615 24$aComputer-Aided Engineering (CAD, CAE) and Design. 676 $a006.8 700 $aPeddie$b Jon$0481077 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910736003303321 996 $aAugmented Reality$91749193 997 $aUNINA
