Les articles qui composent ce recueil relèvent du domaine de la civilisation. La première partie de l?ouvrage explore les modalités de compositions et de recompositions du lien social au fil de l?histoire d?une Irlande assujettie sous diverses formes à la puissance britannique, jusqu?aux premières années du jeune État-nation au début du XXe siècle.
