Much has also been written on this subject. Less known is the history of the Surinamese and Antilleans who came to the Netherlands before, "starting with slaves brought by Dutch families from" the West "and ending with students and intellectuals who came here for education and training, and some of which remained forever. This book fills a gap by telling their story, sometimes in general terms, sometimes with biographical details. It consists of two separate chapters, one about the Surinamese (G. Indischei) and one about the Antilleans (E. Maduro). Separate pages are devoted to some well-known figures: Anton de Kom and Albert Helman (Sur), and Cola Debrot and Boeli van Leeuwen (Ned. Ant.). The book is distinguished by a careful set-up, with an extensive bibliography and notes. 410 0$aVerhandelingen van het Koninklijk Instituut voor Taal-, Land- en Volkenkunde ;$v100. 606 $aNetherlands Antilleans$zNetherlands$xHistory 606 $aSurinamese$zNetherlands$xHistory 610 $aindonesia 610 $aAmsterdam 610 $aCuraçao 610 $aParamaribo 610 $aSuriname 615 0$aNetherlands Antilleans$xHistory. 615 0$aSurinamese$xHistory. 676 $a972.986 700 $aOostindie$b Gert$0801056 702 $aMaduro$b Emy$f1944- 801 0$bWaSeSS 801 1$bWaSeSS 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910156500303321 996 $aIn het land van de overheerser$92264077 997 $aUNINA LEADER 02218nam 2200589 a 450 001 9910790083703321 005 20230725031105.0 010 $a1-283-11382-1 010 $a9786613113825 010 $a1-906884-75-7 010 $a600-00-3987-5 035 $a(CKB)2670000000083317 035 $a(EBL)835817 035 $a(OCoLC)792684142 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000674994 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11396722 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000674994 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10661467 035 $a(PQKB)10162818 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL835817 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10468975 035 $a(CaONFJC)MIL311382 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC835817 035 $a(EXLCZ)992670000000083317 100 $a20110527e20112006 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 00$aUnicompartmental arthroplasty with the Oxford knee$b[electronic resource] /$fJohn Goodfellow ...
