It encompasses common and very unusual pathology and every imaging modality. The book is divided into four parts on pathology of the vascular system, the chest, the abdomen and pelvis, and the reproductive organs. At the beginning of the presentation of each condition, the diagnosis and expected imaging features are set out. Images obtained with the modalities that best depict that particular abnormality are then presented, with marking of the salient pathology for easy understanding. Brief captions cite the clinical indication, explain the marked abnormal imaging features, and identify the modality and its characteristics. Whenever possible, differential diagnosis is covered using further images so the reader can see the spectrum of imaging features that distinguish pathologies despite similar clinical presentation. In addition, guidance is provided on selection of further modalities to confirm the diagnosis.  The book will be of value to a wide audience: It will help residents to analyze different diseases and relate pathophysiology to imaging and assist students in appreciating what is normal and what is abnormal. It will serve as a useful guide to the busy practicing radiologist, especially when encountering an unusual case. Finally, it will aid clinicians in understanding the complexity of these acute clinical problems and in delivering better focused treatment. 606 $aRadiology 606 $aEmergency medicine 606 $aInternal medicine 606 $aDiagnostic Radiology$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/H29013 606 $aEmergency Medicine$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/H22000 606 $aInternal Medicine$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/H33002 615 0$aRadiology. 615 0$aEmergency medicine. 615 0$aInternal medicine. 615 14$aDiagnostic Radiology. 615 24$aEmergency Medicine. 615 24$aInternal Medicine. 676 $a610 676 $a616 676 $a616.07/57 676 $a616.0757 676 $a616025 700 $aAgarwala$b Rita$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$0789149 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910300228503321 996 $aAtlas of Emergency Radiology$91759922 997 $aUNINA LEADER 02963oas 2201129 a 450 001 9910131799403321 005 20250828213014.0 011 $a0001-8449 035 $a(DE-599)ZDB2065755-9 035 $a(OCoLC)60637984 035 $a(CONSER) 2010236517 035 $a(CKB)954925374833 035 $a(EXLCZ)99954925374833 100 $a20050615b19662009 sy 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurun||||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 00$aAdolescence 210 $a[Roslyn Heights, N.Y.] $cLibra Publishers 215 $a1 online resource (volumes) 300 $a"An international quarterly devoted to the physiological, psychological, psychiatric, sociological, and educational aspects of the second decade of human life." 300 $aImprint varies: Roslyn Heights, NY: ; San Diego, CA: <-winter 2009>. 311 08$a0001-8449 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references. 606 $aYouth$vPeriodicals 606 $aAdolescence$vPeriodicals 606 $aAdolescent psychology$vPeriodicals 606 $aAdolescent 606 $aJeunesse$vPe?riodiques 606 $aAdolescence$vPe?riodiques 606 $aAdolescents$xPsychologie$vPe?riodiques 606 $aChild & Adolescent Psychology$2ebps 606 $aChild & Adolescent Psychiatry$2ebps 606 $aAdolescence$2fast$3(OCoLC)fst00796984 606 $aAdolescent psychology$2fast$3(OCoLC)fst00797018 606 $aYouth$2fast$3(OCoLC)fst01183341 608 $aPeriodical. 608 $aPeriodicals.$2fast 615 0$aYouth 615 0$aAdolescence 615 0$aAdolescent psychology 615 2$aAdolescent. 615 6$aJeunesse 615 6$aAdolescence 615 6$aAdolescents$xPsychologie 615 7$aChild & Adolescent Psychology. 615 7$aChild & Adolescent Psychiatry. 615 7$aAdolescence. 615 7$aAdolescent psychology. 615 7$aYouth. 676 $a301.43/15/05 801 0$bOCLCS 801 1$bOCLCS 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bNOC 801 2$bFGA 801 2$bFQM 801 2$bCUD 801 2$bBUF 801 2$bCNTRU 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bOCLCF 801 2$bOCLCO 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bOCLCO 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bOCLCO 801 2$bDYJ 801 2$bZ5A 801 2$bOCLCO 801 2$bLIP 801 2$bXFH 801 2$bWT2 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bOCLCO 801 2$bOCLCA 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bTOF 801 2$bWYU 801 2$bU3W 801 2$bVT2 801 2$bCEF 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bOCLCO 801 2$bCUI 801 2$bOCLCA 801 2$bLDP 801 2$bOCLCA 801 2$bOCLCO 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bCUS 906 $aJOURNAL 912 $a9910131799403321 996 $aAdolescence$9802322 997 $aUNINA
