It argues that a forest management divergence--the separation of wood production from the protection of forests--has occurred during the twentieth century as a result of globalisation. The book shows how plantations and protected areas evolved from, and then undermined, an earlier integrated forest management system, the conservation model, that sought both to produce timber and to conserve the environment. To trace these changes, the book reassesses the historical development of the science and profession of forestry in eighteenth- and nineteenth-century Europe; offers an original interpretation on the twentieth-century creation of timber plantations in the Americas, Asia, Africa, and Australia; and establishes how the controversies over deforestation led to the establishment of protected areas. The book concludes with the suggestion that to solve the problems associated with the forest management divergence scientists, policy makers and environmentalists must better integrate protective and productive aspects of forest management. To successfully achieve this integration requires a deeper awareness of history"--Publisher's description. 410 0$aHistory for a sustainable future. 606 $aForest protection 606 $aSustainable forestry 606 $aForest reserves 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aForest protection. 615 0$aSustainable forestry. 615 0$aForest reserves. 676 $a634.9/2 700 $aBennett$b Brett M.$f1983-$01035167 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910460465303321 996 $aPlantations and protected areas$92454705 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01155nam 2200385 450 001 9910155542703321 005 20230810001445.0 035 $a(CKB)3710000000966255 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC4756330 035 $a(EXLCZ)993710000000966255 100 $a20161222h20172017 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $2rdacontent 182 $2rdamedia 183 $2rdacarrier 200 10$aInequalities in analysis and probability /$fby Odile Pons (French National Institute for Agronomical Research, France) 205 $aSecond edition. 210 1$aNew Jersey :$cWorld Scientific,$d2017. 210 4$d©2017 215 $a1 online resource (309 pages) 311 $a981-314-399-1 311 $a981-314-398-3 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references and index. 606 $aInequalities (Mathematics) 615 0$aInequalities (Mathematics) 676 $a512.9/7 700 $aPons$b Odile$01090182 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910155542703321 996 $aInequalities in analysis and probability$92608170 997 $aUNINA LEADER 02153nam 2200517 450 001 9910796341703321 005 20230213223203.0 010 $a3-11-153177-5 024 7 $a10.1515/9783111531779 035 $a(CKB)3800000000419346 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC5157982 035 $a(DE-B1597)82917 035 $a(OCoLC)1023979197 035 $a(DE-B1597)9783111531779 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL5157982 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr11567799 035 $a(OCoLC)1039702574 035 $a(EXLCZ)993800000000419346 100 $a20180816d1957 uy 0 101 0 $ager 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 14$aDer Betriebsinhaberwechsel $ezugleich ein Beitrag zur Lehre von Arbeitsverha?ltnis und Betrieb /$fvon Dr. Dieter Grell 205 $aReprint 2017 210 1$aBerlin :$cWalter De Gruyter & Co.,$d[1957] 210 4$d©1957 215 $a1 online resource (192 pages) 225 1 $aNeue Ko?lner rechtswissenschaftliche Abhandlungen ;$vHeft 7 311 $a3-11-116373-3 327 $tFrontmatter -- $tInhaltsverzeichnis -- $tAbkürzungen -- $tLiteraturverzeichnis -- $tEinleitung -- $t1. They represent a way of working and of making art over a period spanning more than fifty years. This book is the first of its kind in its attempt to interrogate the role of the Brian Friel Papers in Friel?s legacy as a working artist with a richly developed creative practice. By means of an unprecedented focus on Friel?s artistic process, Kuczy?ska asks not only how and by whom Friel was being influenced and inspired, but also how and for whom Friel?s praxis might come to be an inspiration. Combining forensic archival scholarship with original, collaborative practice-based research, this study remains focused on the ?how? of influence, showcasing an approach to literary archives that foregrounds live practices of access in the spirit of creative encounter. Whether uncovering forgotten source materials for Friel?s plays or working with current practitioners in the arts, Kuczy?ska reveals how an approach to literary archives grounded in artistic practice might provide the tools for setting a major creative legacy not in stone but rather in motion. Zosia Kuczy?ska is an academic and poet with a research interest in archival practices. She was an IRC postdoctoral research fellow at University College Dublin, Ireland. Her work on Brian Friel has appeared in Irish University Review. She is the curator of ?Don?t Anticipate the Ending?, a digital exhibition at the Museum of Literature Ireland. . 606 $aTheater$xHistory 606 $aPlaywriting 606 $aDramatists 606 $aPerforming arts 606 $aTheater 606 $aContemporary Theatre and Performance 606 $aPlaywrights and Playwriting 606 $aPractice-as-Research 615 0$aTheater$xHistory. 615 0$aPlaywriting. 615 0$aDramatists. 615 0$aPerforming arts. 615 0$aTheater. 615 14$aContemporary Theatre and Performance. 615 24$aPlaywrights and Playwriting. 615 24$aPractice-as-Research. 676 $a807.2 676 $a792.9 700 $aKuczynska$b Zosia$01453461 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910768187803321 996 $aBrian Friel's Models of Influence$93656093 997 $aUNINA LEADER 02265nam 22004333a 450 001 9910637743403321 005 20250705110035.0 010 $a9780472902378 010 $a0472902377 024 8 $ahttps://doi.org/10.3998/mpub.8295270 035 $a(CKB)5450000000014888 035 $a(ScCtBLL)adbe6aaa-ac58-48bb-9f15-1472cee8e5ae 035 $a(Perlego)2329106 035 $a(ODN)ODN0002760128 035 $a(EXLCZ)995450000000014888 100 $a20211214i20162020 uu 101 0 $aeng 135 $auru|||||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 00$aSounds of the Underground : $eA Cultural, Political and Aesthetic Mapping of Underground and Fringe Music /$fStephen Graham 210 $d2016 210 1$a[s.l.] :$cUniversity of Michigan Press,$d2016. 215 $a1 online resource 225 0 $aTracking Pop. 330 $aIn basements, dingy backrooms, warehouses, and other neglected places around the world music is being made that doesn't fit neatly into popular or classical categories and genres, whose often extreme sounds and tiny concerts hover on the fringes of these commercial and cultural mainstreams. The term "underground music" as it's being used here connects various forms of music-making that exist outside or on the fringes of mainstream institutions and culture, such as noise, free improvisation, and extreme metal. This is music that makes little money, that's noisy and exploratory in sound and that's largely independent from both the market and from traditional high art institutions. In this book, by outlining the historical background but focusing on the digital age, the underground and its fringes can be seen as based in radical anti-capitalist politics or radical aesthetics while also being tied to the political contexts and structures of late capitalism. 606 $aMusic / Ethnomusicology$2bisacsh 606 $aMusic 615 7$aMusic / Ethnomusicology 615 0$aMusic. 686 $aMUS000000$aMUS015000$aPOL003000$2bisacsh 700 $aGraham$b Stephen$0680275 801 0$bScCtBLL 801 1$bScCtBLL 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910637743403321 996 $aSounds of the underground$92275219 997 $aUNINA LEADER 00945cam0 22002773 450 001 SOB0000003020 005 20251202103441.0 010 $a8870429636 100 $a20010303d1988 |||||ita|0103 ba 101 $aita 102 $aIT 200 1 $a<>Museo Filangieri$fNadia Barrella 210 $aNapoli$cGuida$d1988 215 $a154 p.$cill.$d22 cm. 700 1$aBarrella$b, Nadia$3AF00009746$4070$0253902 801 0$aIT$bUNISOB$c20251202$gRICA 850 $aUNISOB 852 $aUNISOB$j700$m61803 852 $aUNISOB$j700$m61356 912 $aSOB0000003020 940 $aM 102 Monografia moderna SBN 941 $aM 957 $a700$b000789$gBRE$d61803$rACQUISTO$1catenacci$2UNISOB$3UNISOB$420150609114822.0$520251202103441.0$6bethb$fTesto 2025/2026 957 $a700$b000753$gSI$d61356$rACQUISTO$p35.000$1catenacci$2UNISOB$3UNISOB$420150609114916.0$520210303094857.0$6bethb 996 $aMuseo Filangieri$9779074 997 $aUNISOB
