By combining theory with text analysis and contextual anchoring, it introduces students and scholars alike to a vast field of research which encompasses concepts such as intermediality, multi- and plurimediality, intermedial reference, transmediality, ekphrasis, as well as related concepts such as visual culture, remediation, adaptation, and multimodality, which are all discussed in connection with literary examples. Hence each of the 30 contributions spans both a theoretical approach and concrete analysis of literary texts from different centuries and different Anglophone cultures. 410 0$aHandbooks of English and American Studies 606 $aIntermediality$vHandbooks, manuals, etc 606 $aMass media and literature 606 $aMass media and the arts 606 $aEkphrasis 606 $aIntertextuality 606 $aMedia literacy 615 0$aIntermediality 615 0$aMass media and literature. 615 0$aMass media and the arts. 615 0$aEkphrasis. 615 0$aIntertextuality. 615 0$aMedia literacy. 676 $a302.2 686 $aEC 2440$2rvk 702 $aRippl$b Gabriele 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910823472603321 996 $aHandbook of intermediality$93941318 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03550nam 22006255 450 001 9910155388603321 005 20240505171517.0 010 $a9783110465099 010 $a3110465094 024 7 $a10.1515/9783110465099 035 $a(CKB)3850000000000975 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC4768927 035 $a(DE-B1597)462331 035 $a(OCoLC)962025695 035 $a(OCoLC)979783504 035 $a(OCoLC)985981731 035 $a(DE-B1597)9783110465099 035 $a(Perlego)1138533 035 $a(EXLCZ)993850000000000975 100 $a20190516d2016 fg 101 0 $ager 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $2rdacontent 182 $2rdamedia 183 $2rdacarrier 200 10$a'Bräute Christi' $eLegenden und Traktate aus dem Straßburger Magdalenenkloster. 410 0$aKulturtopographie des alemannischen Raums ;$vBand 7. 606 $aMarriage$xReligious aspects$xChristianity$xHistory of doctrines 606 $aSpirituality$xChristianity$xHistory of doctrines 606 $aMystical union$xHistory of doctrines 607 $aStrasbourg (France)$xChurch history 615 0$aMarriage$xReligious aspects$xChristianity$xHistory of doctrines. 615 0$aSpirituality$xChristianity$xHistory of doctrines. 615 0$aMystical union$xHistory of doctrines. 676 $a270.1092/2 686 $aAM 49200$2rvk 700 $aGanina$b Natalija, $01240910 801 0$bDE-B1597 801 1$bDE-B1597 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910155388603321 996 $aBräute Christi$92878784 997 $aUNINA
