The political and security relationship has been increasingly deteriorating against the high interdependency between the world?s second and third largest economies. More ironically, both sides have also shown the intent and made efforts to improve bilateral ties. The author systematically conducts a focused comparison of the evolution of the Sino-Japanese mutual perceptions and policies toward one another during the past decade and a half. Empirically, Yun Zhang closely examines five case studies that provide insights to IR students and scholars and policy makers on how misperception and mistrust have formed, replicated, and intensified. 606 $aAsia$xPolitics and government 606 $aEthnology$zAsia 606 $aCulture 606 $aInternational relations 606 $aDiplomacy 606 $aGlobalization 606 $aAsian Politics 606 $aAsian Culture 606 $aInternational Relations 606 $aDiplomacy 606 $aGlobalization 615 0$aAsia$xPolitics and government. 615 0$aEthnology 615 0$aCulture. 615 0$aInternational relations. 615 0$aDiplomacy. 615 0$aGlobalization. 615 14$aAsian Politics. 615 24$aAsian Culture. 615 24$aInternational Relations. 615 24$aDiplomacy. 615 24$aGlobalization. 676 $a320.95 700 $aZhang$b Yun$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$0651728 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910154822503321 996 $aSino-Japanese Relations in a Trilateral Context$92205571 997 $aUNINA
