Over 500 species of animals are considered: shellfish, insects, birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians, and mammals?including human beings. In Books I-IV Aristotle gives a comparative survey of internal and external body parts, including tissues and fluids, and of sense faculties and voice. Books V-VI study reproductive methods, breeding habits, and embryogenesis as well as some secondary sex differences. In Books VII-IX, Aristotle examines differences among animals in feeding; in habitat, hibernation, migration; in enmities and sociability; in disposition (including differences related to gender) and intelligence. Here too he describes the human reproductive system, conception, pregnancy, and obstetrics. Book X establishes the female's contribution to generation. The Loeb edition of History of Animals is in three volumes. A full index to all ten books is included in the third (Volume XI of the Aristotle edition). 606 $aZoology 606 $aZoology$vPre-Linnean works 615 0$aZoology. 615 0$aZoology 676 $a590 700 $aAristotle$04207 801 0$bNjHacI 801 1$bNjHacl 906 $aBOOK 912 $a996199217303316 996 $aHistoriae animalium$920010 997 $aUNISA LEADER 03288oam 22009134 450 001 9910151746403321 005 20250426110114.0 010 $a9781484382639 010 $a1484382633 010 $a9781484382424 010 $a1484382420 035 $a(CKB)3710000000952142 035 $a(BIP)077137343 035 $a(BIP)054325308 035 $a(IMF)TNHAETPTAA 035 $aTNHAETPTAA 035 $a(EXLCZ)993710000000952142 100 $a20020129d2014 uf 0 101 0 $aara 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aToward New Horizons: Arab Economic Transformation amid Political Transition /$fHarald Finger, Daniela Gressani 210 1$aWashington, D.C. :$cInternational Monetary Fund,$d2014. 215 $a1 online resource (114 p.) 225 1 $aDepartmental Papers 311 08$a9781484351826 311 08$a1484351827 330 3 $aThe changing political landscape in the Arab world has created opportunities for economic transformation by tackling long-standing economic issues.
