Die ägyptischen Juden, so wie andere aus der arabischen Welt, waren keine Zionisten im Sinne des 'aschkenasischen' eurozentristischen Zionismus. Vorurteile und Missachtung, Diskriminierung und Benachteiligung im Bezug auf Wohnorte und Ausbildung war ihr Schicksal in Israel. Dennoch hatten sie die Integration sehr gut bewältigt und gehören heute zur Mittleren und Mittel-Oberschicht des Landes.
