Coleridge's mastery of this new study and his search for a new understanding of the Bible on which to ground his faith are the focus of this book. Beginning with an exposition of Coleridge's double role as theologian and poet, Anthony Harding analyses the development and transmission of Coleridge's views of inspiration - both biblical and poetic - and provides a history of his theological and poetic ideas in their second generation, in England especially in the work of F.D. Maurice and John Sterling, and in America in that of Ralph Waldo Emerson. Harding argues that Coleridge's emphasis on the human integrity of the scriptural authors provided his contemporaries with a poetics of inspiration that seemed likely to restore to literature a "biblical" sense of the divine as a presence in the world. Coleridge's treatment of biblical inspiration is thus an important contribution to Romantic poetics as well as to biblical scholarship. His concept of inspiration is also linked directly to his literary theory and thus to the current debate over the reader's relation to text and author. 410 0$aMcGill-Queen's studies in the history of ideas ;$v8. 606 $aInspiration 606 $aChristianity and literature 615 0$aInspiration. 615 0$aChristianity and literature. 676 $a821/.7 700 $aHarding$b Anthony John$0449772 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910781905603321 996 $aColeridge and the inspired word$93820310 997 $aUNINA LEADER 04902nam 2200649 450 001 9910791148803321 005 20200520144314.0 010 $a0-8144-3394-4 035 $a(CKB)2550000001341439 035 $a(EBL)1707761 035 $a(OCoLC)886107646 035 $a(SSID)ssj0001292487 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)12472950 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0001292487 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)11284751 035 $a(PQKB)10972914 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL1707761 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10905804 035 $a(CaONFJC)MIL633958 035 $a(CaSebORM)9780814433935 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC1707761 035 $a(PPN)198682905 035 $a(EXLCZ)992550000001341439 100 $a20140820h20142014 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurunu||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 14$aThe elements of resume style $eessential rules for writing resumes and cover letters that work /$fScott Bennett 205 $aSecond edition. 210 1$aNew York :$cAmerican Management Association,$d2014. 210 4$d©2014 215 $a1 online resource (176 p.) 300 $aDescription based upon print version of record. 311 $a0-8144-3393-6 311 $a1-322-02707-2 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references and index. 327 $aCOVER; TITLE; COPYRIGHT; CONTENTS; PREFACE TO THE SECOND EDITION; INTRODUCTION: WRITERS MAKE CHOICES; WHY SOMETIMES YOU CAN DO EVERYTHING RIGHT AND STILL GET NO INVITATION TO AN INTERVIEW; PAY ATTENTION TO ITEMS WITHIN YOUR CONTROL; LESS IS MORE; TWELVE THINGS YOU CAN DO WITHOUT; 1. Scott Bennett has hired hundreds of people in a variety of industries, and he knows firsthand what kind of re?sume? sparks an employer's interest-and which ones fail. In The Elements of Re?sume? Style, he warns against popular "tricks" that tend to backfire-and instead shows readers how to craft clear, compelling, targeted re?sume?s and cover letters that lead to real jobs. 606 $aRe?sume?s (Employment) 606 $aCover letters 615 0$aRe?sume?s (Employment) 615 0$aCover letters. 676 $a650.14/2 700 $aBennett$b Scott$f1962-$01563306 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910791148803321 996 $aThe elements of resume style$93831605 997 $aUNINA LEADER 02603nam 22005055 450 001 9910150375003321 005 20200711033800.0 010 $a3-476-00090-7 024 7 $a10.1007/978-3-476-00090-3 035 $a(CKB)3710000000838377 035 $a(DE-He213)978-3-476-00090-3 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC4626244 035 $a(EXLCZ)993710000000838377 100 $a20160805d2007 u| 0 101 0 $ager 135 $aurnn|008mamaa 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$a1968.
