Field research interviews. 330 $aIn an age of financial globalization, are markets and democracy compatible? For developing countries, the dramatic internationalization of financial markets over the last two decades deepens tensions between politics and markets. Notwithstanding the rise of left-leaning governments in regions like Latin America, macroeconomic policies often have a neoliberal appearance. When is austerity imposed externally and when is it a domestic political choice? By combining statistical tests with extensive field research across Latin America, this book examines the effect of financial globalization on economic policymaking. Kaplan argues that a country's structural composition of international borrowing and its individual technocratic understanding of past economic crises combine to produce dramatically different outcomes in national policy choices. Incorporating these factors into an electoral politics framework, the book then challenges the conventional wisdom that political business cycles are prevalent in newly democratizing regions. This book is accessible to a broad audience and scholars with an interest in the political economy of finance, development and democracy, and Latin American politics. 410 0$aCambridge studies in comparative politics. 517 3 $aGlobalization & Austerity Politics in Latin America 606 $aGlobalization$zLatin America 607 $aLatin America$xEconomic policy 607 $aLatin America$xPolitics and government 615 0$aGlobalization 676 $a330.98 700 $aKaplan$b Stephen B.$f1973-$01040798 801 0$bUkCbUP 801 1$bUkCbUP 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910465093503321 996 $aGlobalization and austerity politics in Latin America$92463949 997 $aUNINA LEADER 02144nam 2200649 450 001 9910464431303321 005 20200917021826.0 010 $a2-7592-2065-6 035 $a(CKB)3710000000104001 035 $a(EBL)3399487 035 $a(SSID)ssj0001211683 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11694611 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0001211683 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)11204256 035 $a(PQKB)10655581 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC3399487 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL3399487 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10856017 035 $a(OCoLC)923348391 035 $a(PPN)178534854 035 $a(EXLCZ)993710000000104001 100 $a20140419h20132013 uy 0 101 0 $afre 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 00$aConcilier agricultures et gestion de la biodiversite? $eDynamiques sociales, e?cologiques et politiques /$fLisa Durand [and three others], coordinateurs ; Sole?ne Demonet, Anne Lefe?vre Balleydier et Ste?phanie Saussure, re?dactrices 210 1$aVersailles, France :$cE?ditions Quæ,$d2013. 210 4$d©2013 215 $a1 online resource (323 p.) 225 1 $aMatie?re a? de?battre et de?cider,$x2115-1229 300 $aDescription based upon print version of record. 311 $a2-7592-2064-8 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references. 410 0$aMatie?re a? de?battre et de?cider. 606 $aBiodiversity 606 $aAgriculture and state$zFrance 606 $aAgricultural ecology$zFrance 606 $aSustainable development$zFrance 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aBiodiversity. 615 0$aAgriculture and state 615 0$aAgricultural ecology 615 0$aSustainable development 676 $a333.95 702 $aDurand$b Lisa 702 $aDemonet$b Sole?ne 702 $aLefe?vre-Balleydier$b Anne 702 $aSaussure$b Ste?phanie 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910464431303321 996 $aConcilier agricultures et gestion de la biodiversite?$92196521 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01046nam 2200385 450 001 9910150299603321 005 20230810001307.0 010 $a1-4994-2978-9 035 $a(CKB)3710000000942846 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC5384019 035 $a(EXLCZ)993710000000942846 100 $a20180710d2017 ay 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aBobcats /$fCaitie McAneney 210 1$aNew York, New York :$cPowerKids Press,$d2017. 215 $a1 online resource (26 pages) 225 1 $aCreatures of the forest habitat 300 $aIncludes index. 311 $a1-4994-2930-4 410 0$aCreatures of the forest habitat. 606 $aBobcat$vJuvenile literature 615 0$aBobcat 676 $a599.75/36 700 $aMcAneney$b Caitie$01247577 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910150299603321 996 $aBobcats$92895971 997 $aUNINA LEADER 08033nam 2201033 a 450 001 9910786472403321 005 20230801225436.0 010 $a9786613940544 010 $a1-283-62809-0 010 $a3-11-028100-7 024 7 $a10.1515/9783110281002 035 $a(CKB)2670000000279370 035 $a(EBL)893603 035 $a(OCoLC)818785459 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000780493 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)12371859 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000780493 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10802787 035 $a(PQKB)10617542 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000797145 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)12325378 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000797145 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10800329 035 $a(PQKB)22664293 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC893603 035 $a(DE-B1597)175614 035 $a(OCoLC)1013941621 035 $a(OCoLC)1037981868 035 $a(OCoLC)1042024851 035 $a(OCoLC)1045533147 035 $a(OCoLC)1054880052 035 $a(OCoLC)840441359 035 $a(DE-B1597)9783110281002 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL893603 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10606459 035 $a(CaONFJC)MIL394054 035 $a(EXLCZ)992670000000279370 100 $a20120827d2012 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 04$aThe road to information literacy$b[electronic resource] $elibrarians as facilitators of learning /$fedited by Roisin Gwyer, Ruth Stubbings, and Graham Walton 210 $aBerlin ;$aBoston $cDe Gruyter Saur$d2012 215 $a1 online resource (344 p.) 225 0 $aIFLA Publications ;$v157 225 0$aIFLA publications,$x0344-6891 ;$v157 300 $aSelection of papers prepared for the Continuing Professional Development and Workplace Learning Section and the Information Literacy Section satellite conference that took place in Tampere, Finland, August 8-10, 2012, preceding the World Library and Information Congress of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) held in Helsinki, August 11-17, 2012. 311 $a3-11-028101-5 311 $a3-11-028084-1 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references. 327 $aEngaging learning environments for the future : the 2012 Elizabeth W.
