Publishing her readings of the Gospels and the Book of Revelation as well as her thoughts on theology in general, Petersen and her writings created controversy, especially in orthodox circles, and she became a voice for the radical Pietists-those most at odds with Lutheran ministers and their teachings. But she defended her lay religious calling and ultimately printed fourteen original works, including her autobiography, the first of its kind written by a woman in Germany-all in an age in which most women were unable to read or write. Collected in The Life of Lady Johanna Eleonora Petersen are Petersen's autobiography and two shorter tracts that would become models of Pietistic devotional writing. A record of the status and contribution of women in the early Protestant church, this collection will be indispensable reading for scholars of seventeenth-century German religious and social history. 410 0$aOther voice in early modern Europe. 606 $aPietism$zGermany 606 $aPietists$zGermany$vBiography 610 $agender, germany, church history, religion, spirituality, christianity, silence, authority, biography, self, individual, autobiography, faith, piety, worship, devotion, author, feminist theory, feminism, gospels, revelation, theology, orthodoxy, pietists, lutheran, religious calling, women, tracts, devotional, nonfiction, writing, voice. 615 0$aPietism 615 0$aPietists 676 $a273/.7 676 $aB 700 $aPetersen$b Johanna Eleonora$01542293 701 $aBecker-Cantarino$b Barbara$089508 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910784994603321 996 $aThe life of Lady Johanna Eleonora Petersen written by herself$93794891 997 $aUNINA LEADER 04011nam 22007335 450 001 9910349301103321 005 20251225195113.0 010 $a3-030-28374-7 024 7 $a10.1007/978-3-030-28374-2 035 $a(CKB)4100000009160280 035 $a(DE-He213)978-3-030-28374-2 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC5917955 035 $a(PPN)248601415 035 $a(EXLCZ)994100000009160280 100 $a20190809d2019 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurnn#008mamaa 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aComputational Collective Intelligence $e11th International Conference, ICCCI 2019, Hendaye, France, September 4?6, 2019, Proceedings, Part II /$fedited by Ngoc Thanh Nguyen, Richard Chbeir, Ernesto Exposito, Philippe Aniorté, Bogdan Trawi?ski 205 $a1st ed. 2019. 210 1$aCham :$cSpringer International Publishing :$cImprint: Springer,$d2019. 215 $a1 online resource (XXXII, 702 p. 347 illus., 190 illus. in color.) 225 1 $aLecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence,$x2945-9141 ;$v11684 300 $aIncludes Index. 311 08$a3-030-28373-9 327 $aComputational collective intelligence and natural language processing -- Machine learning in real-world data -- Distributed collective intelligence for smart manufacturing -- Collective intelligence for science and technology -- Intelligent management information systems -- Intelligent sustainable smart cities -- New trends and challenges in education: the university 4.0 -- Intelligent processing of multimedia in web systems -- Big data streaming, applications and security. 330 $aThis two-volume set (LNAI 11683 and LNAI 11684) constitutes the refereed proceedings of the 11th International Conference on Computational Collective Intelligence, ICCCI 2019, held in Hendaye France, in September 2019.
