The Archives' forerunner was first mentioned in 1293 and thus testified to the preservation of important documents of the city in a central place. But it was not until September 11th, 1710, when Nicolaus Stampeel took office as a scientific archivist at the City of Hamburg. From then on, documents were systematically selected, preserved and indexed. This anniversary was celebrated by the State Archives with a broad programme of events, which included lectures and readings printed in the commemorative volume available here. 410 0$aVero?ffentlichungen aus dem Staatsarchiv der Freien und Hansestadt Hamburg ;$vVolume 22. 517 $aVeröffentlichungen aus dem Staatsarchiv der Freien und Hansestadt Hamburg vol. 22 606 $aArchives$zGermany 606 $aHistory$2bicssc 615 0$aArchives 615 7$aHistory. 676 $a027.043 702 $aFrank$b Joachim W.$f1957- 702 $aBrakmann$b Thomas 801 0$bNjHacI 801 1$bNjHacl 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910149667803321 996 $aAus erster Quelle$92984692 997 $aUNINA
