Nation states across Africa have signed up to these protocols and remain committed to ensuring education for all children. The progress globally however in the past 25 years, including in Africa, has been slow (UNESCO, 2015). Questions remain on why this is so and what can be done about it. This book brings together researchers, education policy makers and academics from the African community. What is unique about this text is that it includes local insights narrated and critiqued by local professionals. This book presents a wide range of African countries across the continent, to provide a critical overview of the key issues affecting developments. It questions the origins of ideas and definitions around inclusive education and the impact it has made on policy and ultimately practice, within local socio-cultural and economic communities, both urban and rural. It highlights positive developments as well as challenges and provides a deep understanding of why the process of implementing inclusive education is so complex in the African continent. It provides an understanding of what is needed to develop a more sustainable model of inclusive education across the continent and within specific countries. 410 0$aStudies in Inclusive Education$v40. 606 $aInclusive education$zAfrica 606 $aInclusive education$xGovernment policy$zAfrica 606 $aEducation and state$zAfrica 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aInclusive education 615 0$aInclusive education$xGovernment policy 615 0$aEducation and state 676 $a371.9/046096 702 $aPather$b Sulochini 702 $aSlee$b Roger 801 0$bNL-LeKB 801 1$bNL-LeKB 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910467652003321 996 $aChallenging inclusive education policy and practice in Africa$92488262 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01088nam 2200385 450 001 9910148986703321 005 20230808200243.0 010 $a3-7345-0278-0 035 $a(CKB)3710000000924688 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC4734581 035 $a(EXLCZ)993710000000924688 100 $a20170214h20162016 uy 0 101 0 $ager 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $2rdacontent 182 $2rdamedia 183 $2rdacarrier 200 10$aAusbildungs-und Praxishandbuch $ezur spirituellen Ru?ckfu?hrung in fru?here Leben als Ofaatu-Guide /$fRolf M.
