They continue to account for only one percent of the total post-secondary student population, and this lack of representation is felt in multiple ways beyond enrollment. Less research money is spent studying Indigenous students, and their interests are often left out of projects that otherwise purport to address diversity in higher education. Recently, Native scholars have started to reclaim research through the development of their own research methodologies and paradigms that are based in tribal knowledge systems and values, and that allow inherent Indigenous knowledge and lived experiences to strengthen the research. Reclaiming Indigenous Research in Higher Education highlights the current scholarship emerging from these scholars of higher education. From understanding how Native American students make their way through school, to tracking tribal college and university transfer students, this book allows Native scholars to take center stage, and shines the light squarely on those least represented among us. 606 $aIndians of North America$xEducation (Higher) 606 $aIndians of North America$xEducation (Higher)$xResearch$xMethodology 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aIndians of North America$xEducation (Higher) 615 0$aIndians of North America$xEducation (Higher)$xResearch$xMethodology. 676 $a378.1/982997 702 $aMinthorn$b Robin Starr 702 $aShotton$b Heather J.$f1976- 702 $aMcKinley$b Bryan 702 $aBrayboy$b Jones 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910467783803321 996 $aReclaiming indigenous research in higher education$92446957 997 $aUNINA LEADER 02776oas 2200949 a 450 001 9910146970703321 005 20250922213015.0 011 $a2327-9419 035 $a(DE-599)ZDB2626493-6 035 $a(OCoLC)609348317 035 $a(CONSER) 2011234571 035 $a(CKB)111032812850314 035 $a(EXLCZ)99111032812850314 100 $a20100425b19741978 uy a 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurbn||||||abp 135 $aurbn||||||ada 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 04$aThe journal of California anthropology 210 $aBanning, Calif. $cMalki Museum$d1974-1978 311 1 $a0361-7181 606 $aIndians of North America$zCalifornia$vPeriodicals 606 $aIndians of North America$zCalifornia$xHistory$vPeriodicals 606 $aAnthropology$xResearch$zCalifornia$vPeriodicals 606 $aPeuples autochtones$zCalifornie$vPe?riodiques 606 $aPeuples autochtones$zCalifornie$xHistoire$vPe?riodiques 606 $aAnthropologie$xRecherche$zCalifornie$vPe?riodiques 606 $aIndianie$2dbn 606 $aAnthropology$xResearch$2fast$3(OCoLC)fst00810227 606 $aIndians of North America$2fast$3(OCoLC)fst00969633 607 $aKalifornia (Stany Zjednoczone ; stan)$2dbn 607 $aCalifornia$2fast$1https://id.oclc.org/worldcat/entity/E39PBJt8p3GDkhpJkC9y6FY3wC 607 $aKalifornien$2gnd 608 $aCzasopismo etnograficzne.$2dbn 608 $aHistory.$2fast 608 $aPeriodicals.$2fast 608 $aPeriodicals.$2lcgft 615 0$aIndians of North America 615 0$aIndians of North America$xHistory 615 0$aAnthropology$xResearch 615 6$aPeuples autochtones 615 6$aPeuples autochtones$xHistoire 615 6$aAnthropologie$xRecherche 615 7$aIndianie. 615 7$aAnthropology$xResearch. 615 7$aIndians of North America. 676 $a970/.004/97 712 02$aMalki Museum 712 02$aUniversity of California, Riverside.$bDepartment of Anthropology. 801 0$bOCLCE 801 1$bOCLCE 801 2$bEYM 801 2$bHLS 801 2$bHEBIS 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bOCLCA 801 2$bDLC 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bOCLCA 801 2$bAUD 801 2$bOCLCO 801 2$bOCLCF 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bVT2 801 2$bWYU 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bBWN 801 2$bQGK 801 2$bOCLCO 801 2$bUAB 801 2$bERD 801 2$bOCLCQ 801 2$bOCLCL 801 2$bLUU 801 2$bU3W 801 2$bOCLCL 906 $aJOURNAL 912 $a9910146970703321 996 $aThe journal of California anthropology$91948171 997 $aUNINA
