Now, practitioners and their institutions have a clear path to successful application of guidelines from the American Heart Association. This book outlines the key AHA guidelines, Statements, and Performance Measures and includes comparisons with the associated European guidelines. This book also has a strong online component, which will alert users who sign up to new updates to the guidelines and other relevant information. Using both survey data and open interviews with these ?minority climbers?, the study details the contextual and temporal nature of identification. The results illustrate how ethnicity is contextual but have tangible and inescapable effects at the same time. Also the findings call for a more reflexive use of terms like ethnic ingroup/outgroup and bonding/bridging. Overall, the book helps us understand the emergence of middle-class segments that articulate their minority identities and as such it will be of great interest to academics, policy makers and all those interested in processes of integration and/or diversity. 410 0$aIMISCOE Research Series,$x2364-4087 606 $aEmigration and immigration 606 $aEthnicity 606 $aCitizenship?Sociological aspects 606 $aSocial structure 606 $aEquality 606 $aSociology?Research 606 $aMigration$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/X24000 606 $aEthnicity Studies$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/X22180 606 $aSociology of Citizenship$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/X22290 606 $aSocial Structure, Social Inequality$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/X22010 606 $aResearch Methodology$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/X22190 610 $aSocial sciences 610 $aEmigration and immigration 610 $aEthnicity 610 $aCitizenship?Sociological aspects 610 $aSocial structure 610 $aSocial inequality 610 $aSociology?Research 615 0$aEmigration and immigration. 615 0$aEthnicity. 615 0$aCitizenship?Sociological aspects. 615 0$aSocial structure. 615 0$aEquality. 615 0$aSociology?Research. 615 14$aMigration. 615 24$aEthnicity Studies. 615 24$aSociology of Citizenship. 615 24$aSocial Structure, Social Inequality. 615 24$aResearch Methodology. 676 $a304.8 700 $aSlootman$b Marieke$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$0907996 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910300583003321 996 $aEthnic Identity, Social Mobility and the Role of Soulmates$92119901 997 $aUNINA LEADER 04681nam 22006135 450 001 9910492152203321 005 20240213154006.0 010 $a3-030-79919-0 024 7 $a10.1007/978-3-030-79919-9 035 $a(CKB)5590000000534270 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC6676940 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL6676940 035 $a(OCoLC)1260292471 035 $a(DE-He213)978-3-030-79919-9 035 $a(EXLCZ)995590000000534270 100 $a20210712d2021 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aAdapting Approaches and Methods to Teaching English Online $eTheory and Practice /$fby Dionysios I. It elaborates on the key features of an online teaching setting, including the instructional media that are involved in it, their affordances and limitations, and recommends ways to adapt pedagogy to suit the online environment. To this end, the book draws on well-established language teaching methods that have been widely used in the physical classroom and puts them to the test by applying them online. This results in the emergence of an e-clectic approach that enables language teachers to be flexible and intentional in their online classroom-related decisions and combines good practices that cut across the broader methodological spectrum with personal teaching preferences, teaching style, and stakeholders? specifications always considering the capabilities of the setting and the tools currently available to teachers and learners. The book enables teachers to be critical and reflective of their own online teaching practices and equips them, via analysis of live online language sessions, with the necessary skills to confidently engage with screen layout. It also addresses the prominent issue of adapting teacher and learner identity in the online context, and examines their respective roles in online language sessions in a holistic way, offering guidance and support for the practicing online language teacher. 410 0$aSpringerBriefs in Education,$x2211-193X 606 $aLanguage and languages$xStudy and teaching 606 $aEducational technology 606 $aLanguage Teaching and Learning 606 $aDigital Education and Educational Technology 606 $aLanguage Education 606 $aEnsenyament de la llengua$2thub 606 $aAprenentatge electrònic$2thub 608 $aLlibres electrònics$2thub 615 0$aLanguage and languages$xStudy and teaching. 615 0$aEducational technology. 615 14$aLanguage Teaching and Learning. 615 24$aDigital Education and Educational Technology. 615 24$aLanguage Education. 615 7$aEnsenyament de la llengua 615 7$aAprenentatge electrònic 676 $a428.0071 700 $aPsoinos$b Dionysios I.$01069959 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910492152203321 996 $aAdapting Approaches and Methods to Teaching English Online$92557490 997 $aUNINA
