In Greek mythology, Hephaestus was a talented craftsman. Enamoured with Athena, he attempted to woo her, in vain. The goddess of knowledge withstood the advances of the god of doing. Robotics stems from this tension. Although the myth contradicts a current tendency to confuse science and technology, it nevertheless reflects my experience with innovation. 606 $aGreek mythology$vHephaestus$xInfluences 606 $aMechanical Engineering 606 $aRobotics$xHistory 608 $bElectronic Books. 610 $acomputer science 610 $ascience 610 $atechnological innovation 610 $arobotics 610 $atechnology 610 $aartificial intelligence 610 $aalgorithm 615 0$aGreek mythology$xInfluences. 615 0$aMechanical Engineering. 615 0$aRobotics$xHistory. 700 0$aLaumond$b Jean Paul$0802323 801 0$bPQKB 912 $a9910133512803321 996 $aRobotics: Hephaestus does it again$91803622 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01796oam 2200505zu 450 001 9910145390103321 005 20241212215641.0 010 $a9781509085699 010 $a1509085696 010 $a9781424426720 010 $a1424426723 035 $a(CKB)1000000000710594 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000395353 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)12171920 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000395353 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10455669 035 $a(PQKB)10748196 035 $a(EXLCZ)991000000000710594 100 $a20160829d2007 uy 101 0 $aeng 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 10$a2007 International Conference on IP Multimedia Subsystems Architecture and Applications, Bangalore, India, 6-8 December 2007 210 31$a[Place of publication not identified]$cIEEE Service Center$d2007 300 $aBibliographic Level Mode of Issuance: Monograph 311 08$a9781424426713 311 08$a1424426715 606 $aInternet Protocol multimedia subsystem$vCongresses 606 $aMultimedia systems$vCongresses 606 $aElectrical & Computer Engineering$2HILCC 606 $aEngineering & Applied Sciences$2HILCC 606 $aTelecommunications$2HILCC 615 0$aInternet Protocol multimedia subsystem 615 0$aMultimedia systems 615 7$aElectrical & Computer Engineering 615 7$aEngineering & Applied Sciences 615 7$aTelecommunications 676 $a006.7 712 12$aInternational Conference on IP Multimedia Subsystems Architecture and Applications 801 0$bPQKB 906 $aPROCEEDING 912 $a9910145390103321 996 $a2007 International Conference on IP Multimedia Subsystems Architecture and Applications, Bangalore, India, 6-8 December 2007$92501921 997 $aUNINA
