It also contains extended abstracts of submissions that were accepted as posters. The workshop was held at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center in Yorktown Heights, New York. As in previous years, the workshop focused on issues in optimizing compilers, languages, and software environments for high performance computing. This continues a trend in which languages, compilers, and software environments for high performance computing, and not strictly parallel computing, has been the organizing topic. As in past years, participants came from Asia, North America, and Europe. This workshop re?ected the work of many people. In particular, the members of the steering committee, David Padua, Alex Nicolau, Utpal Banerjee, and David Gelernter, have been instrumental in maintaining the focus and quality of the workshop since it was ?rst held in 1988 in Urbana-Champaign. The assistance of the other members of the program committee ? Larry Carter, Sid Chatterjee, Jeanne Ferrante, Jans Prins, Bill Pugh, and Chau-wen Tseng ? was crucial. The infrastructure at the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center provided trouble-free logistical support. The IBM T. J. Watson Research Center also provided ?nancial support by underwriting much of the expense of the workshop. Appreciation must also be extended to Marc Snir and Pratap Pattnaik of the IBM T. J. Watson Research Center for their support. 410 0$aLecture Notes in Computer Science,$x0302-9743 ;$v2017 606 $aProgramming languages (Electronic computers) 606 $aOperating systems (Computers) 606 $aComputer programming 606 $aComputers 606 $aArithmetic and logic units, Computer 606 $aComputer communication systems 606 $aProgramming Languages, Compilers, Interpreters$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I14037 606 $aOperating Systems$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I14045 606 $aProgramming Techniques$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I14010 606 $aComputation by Abstract Devices$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I16013 606 $aArithmetic and Logic Structures$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I12026 606 $aComputer Communication Networks$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I13022 615 0$aProgramming languages (Electronic computers). 615 0$aOperating systems (Computers). 615 0$aComputer programming. 615 0$aComputers. 615 0$aArithmetic and logic units, Computer. 615 0$aComputer communication systems. 615 14$aProgramming Languages, Compilers, Interpreters. 615 24$aOperating Systems. 615 24$aProgramming Techniques. 615 24$aComputation by Abstract Devices. 615 24$aArithmetic and Logic Structures. 615 24$aComputer Communication Networks. 676 $a004.35 702 $aMidkiff$b Samuel P$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aMoreira$b Jose E$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aGupta$b Manish$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aChatterjee$b Siddhartha$f1963-$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aFerrante$b Jeanne$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aPrins$b Jan$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aPugh$b William$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aTseng$b Chau-Wen$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910143602203321 996 $aLanguages and Compilers for Parallel Computing$9772572 997 $aUNINA
