The criteria for the generation of coherent photons, phonons and magnons by excitons are explained. The interactions of excitons and biexcitons with paramagnetic centers and nuclear spins, the indirect interaction between the PC through a field of excitons as well as the quasienergy spectrum of excitons and spin systems are discussed. It is proved that the interaction of paramagnetic centers with excitons increases the spin relaxation rate of paramagnetic centers in comparison with the case of their interaction with free carriers. The giant magneto-optical effects in semi-magnetic semiconductors are theoretically interpreted. In recent years, a new perspective has been added to these systems and their interactions: they can be used for storing and processing information in the form of quantum bits (qubits), the building blocks of quantum computers. The basics of this emerging technology are explained and examples of demonstration-type quantum computers based on localized spins in solids are discussed. 410 0$aLecture Notes in Physics,$x0075-8450 ;$v869 606 $aSolid state physics 606 $aOptical materials 606 $aElectronics$xMaterials 606 $aSpectrum analysis 606 $aMicroscopy 606 $aLasers 606 $aPhotonics 606 $aSemiconductors 606 $aMaterials science 606 $aSolid State Physics$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P25013 606 $aOptical and Electronic Materials$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/Z12000 606 $aSpectroscopy and Microscopy$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P31090 606 $aOptics, Lasers, Photonics, Optical Devices$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P31030 606 $aSemiconductors$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P25150 606 $aCharacterization and Evaluation of Materials$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/Z17000 615 0$aSolid state physics. 615 0$aOptical materials. 615 0$aElectronics$xMaterials. 615 0$aSpectrum analysis. 615 0$aMicroscopy. 615 0$aLasers. 615 0$aPhotonics. 615 0$aSemiconductors. 615 0$aMaterials science. 615 14$aSolid State Physics. 615 24$aOptical and Electronic Materials. 615 24$aSpectroscopy and Microscopy. 615 24$aOptics, Lasers, Photonics, Optical Devices. 615 24$aSemiconductors. 615 24$aCharacterization and Evaluation of Materials. 676 $a530.4/16 700 $aGeru$b Ion$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$0950272 702 $aSuter$b Dieter$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910139243103321 996 $aResonance Effects of Excitons and Electrons$92148587 997 $aUNINA
