Industry and market globalisation, intensified collaboration between European countries, technological developments, the advent and consolidation of the Internet, the rise of electronic business, and the increased use of electronic documents are some of the factors that have fuelled this need. Multilingual Information Management draws on previous empirical research to explore how information and technologies are used within the community of translators as information facilitators among different languages and cultures, to help them become more productive and competitive in today?s market. The book consists of three parts, including a literature review on information and technology needs among translators; a research framework to investigate the perceptions and use of information and technology within their working environment; and a strategic proposal for an Information Systems approach to multilingual information professionals and information literacy training. Presents an interdisciplinary approach to multilingual information and technology management among information professionals Analyses the community of practice of translators as multilingual information facilitators and ICT users Contributes to further develop Information Literacy to a strategic level among information professionals Provides a methodological contribution through an evidence-based approach to practice Bridges the gap between the information-related disciplines of Information Science, Business Management, and Translation Studies 410 0$aChandos information professional series. 606 $aTranslating and interpreting 606 $aCross-language information retrieval 606 $aKnowledge management 615 0$aTranslating and interpreting. 615 0$aCross-language information retrieval. 615 0$aKnowledge management. 676 $a005 700 $aGranell$b Ximo$01615180 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910814730603321 996 $aMultilingual information management$93945263 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03757nam 22006375 450 001 9910137374903321 005 20200703070459.0 010 $a3-319-22617-7 024 7 $a10.1007/978-3-319-22617-0 035 $a(CKB)3710000000567692 035 $a(SSID)ssj0001584961 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)16265243 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0001584961 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)14865947 035 $a(PQKB)10450171 035 $a(DE-He213)978-3-319-22617-0 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC5592250 035 $a(PPN)190527803 035 $a(EXLCZ)993710000000567692 100 $a20151117d2016 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurnn|008mamaa 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 14$aThe Composite Nambu-Goldstone Higgs /$fby Giuliano Panico, Andrea Wulzer 205 $a1st ed. 2016. 210 1$aCham :$cSpringer International Publishing :$cImprint: Springer,$d2016. 215 $a1 online resource (XI, 316 p. 46 illus., 13 illus. in color.) 225 1 $aLecture Notes in Physics,$x0075-8450 ;$v913 300 $aBibliographic Level Mode of Issuance: Monograph 311 $a3-319-22616-9 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references. 327 $aIntroduction -- Godstone Boson Higgs -- Beyond the Sigma-model -- Flavor -- Phenomenological Models -- Collider Phenomenology -- EW Precision Tests -- Bibliography. 330 $aThe Hierarchy Problem is arguably the most important guiding principle concerning the extension to high-energy scales of the Standard Model (SM) of Fundamental Interactions. Every scenario for addressing this issue unavoidably predicts new physics in the TeV energy range, which is currently being probed directly by the LHC experimental program. Among the possible solutions to the Hierarchy Problem, the scenario of a composite Higgs boson is a very simple idea and a rather plausible picture has emerged over the years by combining the following ingredients: First, the Higgs must be a (pseudo-) Nambu-Goldstone boson, rather than a generic hadron of the new strong sector. Second, through the so-called 'partial compositeness', SM particles mix with strong sector resonances with suitable quantum numbers, so that they become a linear combination of elementary and composite degrees of freedom. Recently, general descriptions of the Composite Higgs Scenario were developed which successfully capture the relevant features of this theoretical framework in a largely model-independent way. The present book provides a concise and illustrative introduction to the subject for a broad audience of graduate students and non-specialist researchers in the fields of particle, nuclear and gravitational physics. 410 0$aLecture Notes in Physics,$x0075-8450 ;$v913 606 $aParticles (Nuclear physics) 606 $aQuantum field theory 606 $aString models 606 $aElementary Particles, Quantum Field Theory$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P23029 606 $aQuantum Field Theories, String Theory$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P19048 615 0$aParticles (Nuclear physics) 615 0$aQuantum field theory. 615 0$aString models. 615 14$aElementary Particles, Quantum Field Theory. 615 24$aQuantum Field Theories, String Theory. 676 $a539.721 700 $aPanico$b Giuliano$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$0878568 702 $aWulzer$b Andrea$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910137374903321 996 $aThe Composite Nambu-Goldstone Higgs$91961539 997 $aUNINA
