The author's investigation first consisted of collecting all the information still available on this festival from participants, most of them very old. Over the course of the interviews, it appeared that it was only the last and the best preserved of a series of seven spring festivals whose ethnological literature offers many parallels, in other towns or villages in the Near East. How did these seven spring festivals form a cohesive whole? How did they make sense to the participants? What can we know about their history? How and why did they disappear? Starting from a very local research, the investigation leads us to question certain general aspects of a traditional civilization today dying. Couldn't this glimpse into a lost world also contribute to understanding the crisis in which Near Eastern societies are struggling? 606 $aSpring festivals$zHoms$zSyria 606 $aAnthropology$2HILCC 606 $aSocial Sciences$2HILCC 606 $aManners & Customs$2HILCC 607 $aHoms (Syria)$xSocial life and customs 610 $aSyrie 610 $aislam 610 $aprintemps 610 $afêtes religieuses 610 $areligion populaire 610 $aHoms 615 0$aSpring festivals 615 7$aAnthropology 615 7$aSocial Sciences 615 7$aManners & Customs 700 $aGillon$b Jean-Yves$0642291 801 0$bPQKB 801 2$bUkMaJRU 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910136942103321 996 $aAnciennes fetes de printemps a Homs$91199180 997 $aUNINA LEADER 02097nam 2200625 a 450 001 9910782091103321 005 20210107025456.0 010 $a1-282-15678-0 010 $a9786612156786 010 $a90-272-9450-X 035 $a(CKB)1000000000521645 035 $a(OCoLC)70774140 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebrary10080011 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000111026 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11137774 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000111026 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10080134 035 $a(PQKB)11497716 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC622272 035 $a(EXLCZ)991000000000521645 100 $a20150424d2005 uy| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|||---||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aBeyond Rhetorical Questions$b[electronic resource] $eAssertive Questions in Everyday Interaction /$fIrene Koshik 210 $aAmsterdam ;$aPhiladelphia, PA, USA $cJohn Benjamins Publishing Company$d2005 210 $cJohn Benjamins Publishing Company 215 $a1 online resource (193 p.) 225 1 $aStudies in discourse and grammar ;$vv. 16 300 $aBibliographic Level Mode of Issuance: Monograph 311 $a1-58811-632-8 311 $a90-272-2626-1 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references (pages 169-174) and indexes. 410 0$aStudies in discourse and grammar ;$vv. 16 606 $aConversation analysis 606 $aQuestioning 606 $aLANGUAGE ARTS & DISCIPLINES$2bisac 606 $aLinguistics / General$2bisac 606 $aJournalism & Communications$2HILCC 606 $aCommunication & Mass Media$2HILCC 615 0$aConversation analysis. 615 0$aQuestioning. 615 7$aLANGUAGE ARTS & DISCIPLINES 615 7$aLinguistics / General 615 7$aJournalism & Communications 615 7$aCommunication & Mass Media 700 $aKoshik$b Irene$01469239 801 0$bPQKB 801 2$bAzTeS 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910782091103321 996 $aBeyond Rhetorical Questions$93680663 997 $aUNINA
