The work also brings an account of the work carried out by Opas, since its foundation in 1902, when infectious diseases were its focus of attention, until today, when the spectrum of diseases has become more complex. In addition to a very detailed historical path, the book presents contributions to the understanding of the health consolidation process, as a citizen's right and a duty of the State, in Brazil, which, over the years, has been able to incorporate, in the organization of their health programs, 606 $aPublic health$zBrazil 606 $aMedical policy$zBrazil 606 $aHealth planning$zBrazil 615 0$aPublic health 615 0$aMedical policy 615 0$aHealth planning 676 $a362.1/0981 702 $aFinkelman$b Jacobo 712 02$aPan American Health Organization. 801 0$bWaSeSS 801 1$bWaSeSS 801 2$bUkMaJRU 912 $a9910135391903321 996 $aCaminhos da saúde pública no Brasil$91804162 997 $aUNINA LEADER 08676nam 22006852 450 001 9910784189603321 005 20210531145055.0 010 $a1-280-86877-5 010 $a9786610868773 010 $a1-4294-5336-2 010 $a90-474-0770-9 010 $a1-4337-0588-5 024 7 $a10.1163/9789047407706 035 $a(CKB)1000000000334827 035 $a(EBL)280622 035 $a(OCoLC)476024067 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000181561 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11181893 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000181561 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10166162 035 $a(PQKB)11070346 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC280622 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL280622 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10171613 035 $a(CaONFJC)MIL86877 035 $a(OCoLC)81600664 035 $a(nllekb)BRILL9789047407706 035 $a(PPN)194685659 035 $a(EXLCZ)991000000000334827 100 $a20200716d2005 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 00$aInternational Responsibility Today $eEssays in Memory of Oscar Schachter /$fedited by Maurizio Ragazzi 210 1$aLeiden; $aBoston :$cBrill | Nijhoff,$d2005. 215 $a1 online resource (548 p.) 300 $aDescription based upon print version of record. 311 $a90-04-14434-X 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references and index. 327 $aEditor's Dedication, -- Editor's Preface, -- Oscar Schachter's Summary Biography, -- Oscar Schachter's Select Bibliography, -- List of Contributors, -- Memorial List, -- Table of Cases, -- Table of Documents, -- List of Abbreviations, -- Part One , State Responsibility (General Issues) , -- Chapter One , The Essence of the Structure of International Responsibility, Chittharanjan Felix Amerasinghe , -- Chapter Two , Legal Injury: The Tip of the Iceberg in the Law of State Responsibility?, Julio Barboza , -- Chapter Three , State Crime: Looking at Municipal Experience with Organizational Crime, David D. The exploration of current trends in this important area is therefore an appropriate and timely subject for a book in memory of Oscar Schachter, a former United Nations official, Columbia Law School professor, ASIL President, and international lawyer of world-wide reputation, who died in December 2003. The editor of the book has assembled a team of thirty-six prominent international lawyers belonging to twenty different nationalities to write about different aspects of the law of international responsibility, from general issues to specific areas of the law (including responsibility before international courts and tribunals), with respect to both the law of State responsibility and responsibility of international organizations and other non-State actors. The result of this effort is a monographic volume (enriched by a biography and a list of publications of Oscar Schachter, and accompanied by a bibliography of all the works cited in the various contributions and an index for easier consultation), which will be of interest not only to the many admirers and friends of Oscar Schachter around the world, but also, more broadly, to international law academics and practitioners. 517 3 $aEssays in Memory of Oscar Schachter 606 $aGovernment liability (International law) 606 $aInternational right 606 $aResponsibility 606 $aState  liability 615 0$aGovernment liability (International law) 615 0$aInternational right. 615 0$aResponsibility. 615 0$aState  liability. 676 $a342.08/8 702 $aRagazzi$b Maurizio 801 0$bNL-LeKB 801 1$bNL-LeKB 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910784189603321 996 $aInternational responsibility today$9992809 997 $aUNINA
